Springmeade Healthcenter, sitting on a pretty, landscaped 40-acre campus in Tipp City, Ohio near highway 75, offers several types of care and living services for older adults, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. The health center has 99 certified beds, about 89 residents a day, and covers more than 10 acres, offering a quiet environment with outdoor paths, gardens, fishing ponds, and a vegetable garden. People can choose coach homes with two or three bedrooms, garages, full kitchens, fireplaces, and sunrooms if they want their own space but like knowing help is there if needed. There are extended care suites for those who want family-style living, and short-term rehabilitation or long-term care for those recovering from hospital stays or needing daily nursing care.
Springmeade Healthcenter provides restaurant-style dining and all-day meal service, prepared by a chef, with menus that fit dietary and allergy needs like diabetes diets, and special meals can be requested-though some inspection reports point out problems like not always keeping food at the right temperature or stored properly. It's got a movie theater, library, arts room, fitness and wellness areas, business center, game room, and a woodworking shop, so residents fill the days with activities and hobbies, and they can join community and resident events, movie nights, and outings. Staff help with things like bathing, medicine, laundry, cleaning, and meals, plus there are case managers, social workers, counselors, nurses, and mental health professionals to support residents with physical and mental health needs like depression and grief, and they provide memory care. There's a 24/7 emergency call system and coordinated services for transportation, moving in, and safety. Folks can visit or live at Marigold House, which has room for five seniors in a more home-like setting, and the historic White House serves as an activity and event space for everyone.
Springmeade Healthcenter is a non-profit community, owned and managed by Otterbein SeniorLife since January, with staff also from Vancrest, after a transfer from Premier Health. India Chrisman Williams has managed the place since July 2022. Inspections have found 34 total deficiencies, most recently in April 2025, with concerns about pressure ulcer care and infection control, as well as dietary issues. The nurse turnover rate is 44.2%, a bit better than the state average. Nurse staffing falls just below the state average, at 3.47 hours per resident per day. Springmeade accepts Medicare and Medicaid, and there are family and resident councils to help residents and families have a say in how things go. On campus, besides Springmeade Healthcenter, you'll find SpringMeade Residence, which is an independent retirement community with maintenance-free living on the same peaceful grounds, plus places to gather, walk, and enjoy the outdoors. The location puts folks within easy reach of parks, churches, hospitals, and stores. Meals, cleaning, and grounds care are handled by staff, so residents can focus on their well-being and spend time with friends or family.
