    Exceptional staff and resort-like community

I moved my parent here and have been very pleased. The caregivers and staff are exceptional-warm, responsive, and professional-while the building is spotless, beautifully maintained and feels like a resort with chef-prepared meals, varied activities, salon/café, walking paths and strong, person-centered memory care with 24-hour nursing. It's a welcoming, active community and I would happily recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Touchmark at Coffee Creek is frequently described as a high-end, hotel-like senior community with strong emphasis on amenities, dining, and campus appearance. The physical plant and grounds receive consistent praise: reviewers cite attractive landscaping, bright common spaces with skylights and open windows, well-kept apartments (including private studios and one-bedroom units with balconies), and hotel-style public areas such as a coffee shop, auditorium, and multiple dining rooms. Campus safety features such as an underground tornado shelter and secure memory-care layouts (small-unit, horseshoe/oval designs) are noted as positives for resident visibility and security.

Dining and activities are among the community’s strongest offerings. Many families and residents describe restaurant-style, chef-prepared meals with varied menus and attractive presentation, along with multiple dining-room options (including quieter areas). The community offers an extensive activities program—exercise classes, chair fitness, arts and crafts, church services, lectures open to the public, social events, and outings—supported by life-enrichment staff and technology tools for scheduling. Fitness rooms, pool access agreements, and well-attended social programming contribute to an active atmosphere for mobile, engaged residents.

Care and staffing present a mixed picture. Numerous accounts praise compassionate, attentive caregivers, long-tenured staff in some areas, and person-centered approaches in parts of the memory-care unit. However, a recurring operational concern is staffing instability: frequent turnover and shift changes have been linked to uneven continuity of care, inconsistent bathing and personal-care scheduling, and instances of medication-management lapses. While memory care is described as providing personalized attention in some units, other comments indicate variability in memory-care performance across the campus. Families should note that the community does not provide on-site skilled nursing services, which may limit clinical options for residents with higher acuity needs.

Management, policies, and cost structure are additional areas for consideration. The community’s culture and team-oriented leadership are highlighted by many reviewers who describe strong workplace pride and supportive management. At the same time, several families report communication and scheduling challenges, occasional operational miscoordination, and perceived opacity in fee structures and tour practices. Financially, Touchmark positions itself at the premium end of the market: reviewers frequently call out high entrance fees, security deposits, and elevated monthly rates, plus fee-for-service components for certain personal-care items. Prospective residents should clarify all financial policies, ancillary fees, and refund/estate-sale procedures before committing.

In summary, Touchmark at Coffee Creek offers a high-quality, amenity-rich environment with notable strengths in dining, campus upkeep, social programming, and many compassionate staff members. These strengths are balanced by operational challenges—primarily staffing consistency, variable clinical continuity (including medication and personal-care scheduling), limited skilled-nursing capability, and a premium, sometimes complex, financial model. Prospective residents and families who prioritize a resort-like atmosphere, robust activities, and strong dining should consider the community, while those with higher clinical needs or stricter budget constraints should evaluate care continuity, service fees, and clinical capabilities in depth during tours and decision discussions.

    About Touchmark at Coffee Creek

Touchmark at Coffee Creek sits in Edmond, Oklahoma, and has always been known for offering different types of senior care, which include independent living, assisted living, memory care, and even skilled nursing for those who need it. The staff here believe in the motto of ETHIC, which stands for Excellence, Teamwork, Hospitality, Integrity, and Compassion, and you'll often see these values in how everyone, from caregivers to dining staff, treats each person with kindness and respect.

The community's homes include Parkview houses with two-car garages and the Villas at Touchmark, which were designed with Tallgrass Construction, giving residents open floor plans, two bedrooms, two baths, front porches, patios, and garages with carriage doors, so they feel more like a real home, and people can keep their independence much longer. There's also maintenance-free living here, which takes chores off people's lists and gives time for other things, like exercise classes on the property, gardening in the above ground beds, or relaxing with friends in one of the many comfortable spaces the community has set up for social times and family visits.

Dining remains a big highlight at Touchmark at Coffee Creek, with a focus on nutritious and tasty meals made from scratch, an elegant restaurant-style dining room, and even a private dining room for special occasions. For people who have pets, the community's pet-friendly, so residents can keep their companions with them. When it comes to getting around or accessibility, the facilities are handicap friendly, with transportation and parking options provided for everyone who needs it.

The care teams work to make sure staffing levels are above the standard, and they offer memory support, assisted living, and skilled nursing, so residents can age in place and get help as their needs change. The philosophy here keeps encouraging everyone to live a full life, whether that's trying new activities, relaxing, or building friendships with other residents, and the amenities like the clubhouse, dining programs, and special services help with that goal. Residents can choose living options to fit their stage of life and health needs, with services focused on comfort, convenience, and a sense of family. Touchmark at Coffee Creek tries to support people through each part of aging with thoughtful care and a focus on good living every day.
