    About Arcadia Senior Care

Arcadia Senior Care sits in a quiet neighborhood in Eugene, Oregon, offering a comfortable home-like setting for adults moving from nursing facilities or those who want a smaller, more personal place to live, and the place doesn't have any big buildings or long hallways, just private rooms with shared bathrooms, all designed to be easy to use for folks who need a wheelchair or have trouble getting around, and the bathrooms have accessibility features so people can shower more safely. The care home keeps things simple and has about ten or fewer residents at a time, so the staff can really pay attention, with each caregiver looking after no more than five people, and with a staff ratio of two for every five residents, you get a lot of attention. Meals get cooked at home three times a day, with snacks too, and they can fix food for people on vegetarian or kosher diets, or those who need other special foods, so you don't have to worry if you can't eat certain things. The building has a kitchen, apartments, bedrooms, and shared living areas where people gather, watch TV, or do activities, and the rooms have nurse call systems so staff can come quick if anyone needs help. They've got a computer-based system for managing medicines, which helps keep everyone safe, and the staff coordinate with doctors and pharmacies, and they can arrange transportation to medical appointments if you need it, even if you've just moved in after living at a nursing facility. Care includes help with bathing, dressing, eating, taking medicine, incontinence, wound care, and transfers using a Hoyer lift, which makes it easier for people who can't move on their own. They also focus on memory care for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's, and have programs for memory support. There are laundry and housekeeping services, plus central air conditioning and heating, so rooms stay comfortable no matter the weather. Every week, the place plans both indoor and outdoor activities so people can be social, and the staff focus on helping people express their feelings through therapy and creative activities, giving residents a routine each day for stability, which can feel reassuring. The cozy setting is made to feel more like a family than a big business, and there's always time for group meals or just relaxing together in the common spaces, and if someone wants a little privacy, they can spend time in their own room. Outdoor areas let residents spend time outside when the weather's nice, and everything is set up to make life a little easier and a bit more enjoyable. Arcadia Senior Care has been running since 2012, with a new building run by Tradition Care LLC, and has simple comforts, thoughtful staff, and care that's adjusted to what each person needs, whether it's a lot or just a little, in a calm, respectful home.
