I've been very pleased since the new ownership took over - the staff are friendly and genuinely caring, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and positive. There's a little room for improvement, but overall I'm happy here.

About Vineyard Personal Care Home
The Vineyard Personal Care Home is a large assisted living community located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, catering to the diverse needs of seniors in a welcoming, home-like environment. With accommodations for up to 120 residents, The Vineyard Personal Care Home is designed to offer both personalized care and a wide array of amenities, ensuring a supportive atmosphere that enhances the overall well-being of each individual. The aim of the community is to meet every resident’s unique requirements, providing a holistic approach that promotes health, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
Residents at The Vineyard Personal Care Home receive support with daily living activities, including assistance with bathing, clothing, grooming, and toileting. The community recognizes that each person has distinctive medical and physical needs, which is why flexibility is built into the care model to accommodate special dietary requirements and requests, such as those necessary for individuals managing diabetes or high blood pressure. Meal preparation stands out as a highlight, with homemade dishes served three times per day. If needed, specific nutrition adjustments can be made based on the recommendations for each resident.
A vibrant activity and wellness calendar helps foster an engaging and energetic lifestyle for residents. Activities at The Vineyard Personal Care Home can range from music therapy and pet therapy to board games, regularly planned entertainment, fitness programs, and art activities. There are also social night events, movie entertainment opportunities, and excursions to promote both physical and emotional enrichment. Outings can include transportation for doctor’s appointments, shopping trips, and participation in spiritual offerings, with transportation arrangements managed by the community.
The physical environment at The Vineyard Personal Care Home is carefully planned to maximize comfort, stimulation, and enjoyment. Amenities available may span from a book room for quiet reading and reflection to areas designed for recreation and socialization. Spaces such as a garden area, hot tub, sauna or health room, and an on-site hairdresser or parlor are offered to give residents opportunities for relaxation and self-care. These features are complemented by the presence of a mobile barber or hairdresser, providing convenience and regular grooming services without the need to leave the facility.
Living arrangements are flexible to suit varying preferences and budgets, with choices between individual or shared bedrooms. The monthly cost for residency can vary widely depending on care needs, room selection, and the level of support required, starting from a base rate but subject to adjustment based on a comprehensive assessment of the senior’s needs. Payment methods are diverse, accommodating both private pay and options such as long-term care insurance or veterans’ benefits.
Above all, The Vineyard Personal Care Home places a strong emphasis on responsive, compassionate care within a socially enriching environment. The team is dedicated to not only meeting practical needs like medication management and assistance with mobility but also enhancing quality of life through meaningful engagement and tailored wellness programs. Residents are encouraged to build friendships, explore interests, and remain actively involved, ensuring that every day is filled with purpose and connection.
