    Clean peaceful caring highly recommended

I had a very positive experience - the facility is spotless, peaceful, and the rooms feel comfortable and homey. The staff were caring, responsive, and family-oriented; therapy was excellent, meals were delicious, and clear communication made the transition easy, so I would recommend it for short-term rehab or memory care.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews describe a facility with strong physical assets and a highly polarized operational track record. Many families praise a clean, attractive building, secure memory-care units, well-kept grounds, and pleasant common areas. The rehabilitation program, including physical and occupational therapy, is repeatedly identified as a strength: therapists are often described as skilled, family-inclusive, and effective at returning residents home. Several reviews also highlight compassionate end-of-life and hospice coordination, responsive admissions interactions, and some exemplary nurses and aides who provide attentive, respectful care.

At the same time, a substantial subset of reviews points to persistent operational weaknesses. Staffing consistency is a recurring concern: high turnover, frequent use of agency nurses unfamiliar with resident charts, and marked differences between day and night shifts contribute to variable day-to-day care. This variability is linked to delayed call-bell responses, gaps in attending to toileting and bathing needs, and inconsistent pain- and medication-management practices. Pharmacy and medication-administration issues — including delayed, missed, or untimely doses — are cited often enough to recommend direct verification of medication protocols before admission.

Safety and care-continuity issues emerge as another pattern. Reviews describe multiple falls, discharge and transition planning challenges, and instances where clinical issues were not recognized or escalated promptly. These accounts suggest weaknesses in fall-prevention procedures, handoffs between shifts or agencies, and family notification processes. Relatedly, several families flagged personal-property control problems and raised allegations of missing items and financial concerns, indicating a need for clearer inventory and accountability practices.

Dining, housekeeping, and activities present mixed signals. A number of reviewers praise meal quality, dining spaces, and special activities (music sessions, pet visits, garden access), while others report cold or delayed trays, inconsistent meal service, and limited evening programming. Cleanliness and sanitation are likewise inconsistent across reports: some describe spotless units and odor-free memory care, whereas others note housekeeping lapses and sanitation concerns in rooms or common areas.

Management and communication are a focal point for satisfaction versus frustration. Positive reviewers mention engaged executive directors and social workers who facilitate transitions and keep families informed. Conversely, others describe leadership turnover, slow or unreturned calls, and an organizational emphasis perceived as prioritizing occupancy over individualized care. These contrasts point to variable leadership performance and suggest that the quality of a resident’s experience may depend heavily on current management and staffing stability.

What prospective residents and families should consider: verify current staffing ratios (including night coverage), ask for written medication-administration and pharmacy-coordination procedures, request information on fall-prevention and transfer protocols, review housekeeping and property-inventory policies, and observe night-shift operations if possible. Also ask for specific examples of therapy continuity, and clarify visitation and family-communication practices. The facility demonstrates clear strengths in environment and therapy outcomes for many, but it has documented operational gaps that are important to evaluate against an individual’s clinical needs and expectations.
