    Excellent care, great staff, thriving

I placed my mom here and I'm so thankful to the excellent, caring staff - Nikki Bloom in particular - who made us feel like family. The care is first-rate and responsive, the meals are good, facilities are amazing, and the owners prioritize COVID safety and infection control. My mom is thriving; I highly recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews portray Eagle Valley Personal Care as a facility with consistently strong hands-on care and a family-like culture. Families emphasize compassionate, attentive staff and describe clinical care as high quality; several comments singled out individual caregivers by name and expressed gratitude for personalized attention. Infection-control practices, including COVID-19 safety measures, were described positively, suggesting an operational emphasis on sanitation and resident protection.

Staffing and workplace culture are prominent strengths in the feedback. Reviewers used terms like caring, supportive, and family-like to characterize staff–resident interactions, and owners/leadership were described as engaged and supportive. Meals and dining received favorable remarks: residents and family members noted good food quality and that meals supported resident wellbeing. Facility condition and aesthetics were also praised, with multiple comments calling the physical environment "amazing" or well maintained.

There is limited public commentary about activities programming in the available summaries; reviewers focused more on care, staff, dining, and facilities. Prospective families may want to ask the facility for current schedules and examples of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to assess fit for specific interests.

One review authored by a person identifying as a former employee raised concerns about management expectations and a disciplinary outcome; that allegation is notable because it contrasts with otherwise positive staff-focused feedback. Taken together, the comments suggest an overall positive resident and family experience but indicate potential inconsistencies in management expectations, communication, and staff oversight. Prospective residents and families should verify staffing stability, ask about employee training and performance-review processes, and inquire about leadership practices to clarify those issues.

Overall, Eagle Valley Personal Care appears to excel in resident-centered caregiving, infection control, dining, and facility upkeep. The primary operational risk signaled in the reviews relates to management–staff relations and consistency in supervisory practices; these are reasonable topics to address during a tour or intake conversation to ensure alignment with family expectations.

    About Eagle Valley Personal Care

Eagle Valley Personal Care, also known as Eagle View Personal Care, sits in Milesburg, PA, with 60 licensed beds and all the comforts of a homey place for seniors who need a little help with day-to-day living but like to maintain some independence. The facility welcomes everyone regardless of race, color, creed, disability, or age, and is officially licensed as a Personal Care Home, getting regular checks from groups like the Department of Aging or Veteran's Services. Eagle Valley Personal Care offers a mix of living options and services, including Independent and Assisted Living, Memory Care, and even short-term stays, plus there's Home Care, Adult Day Services, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Home Health Care (Medicare-Certified if applicable), and Hospice Care. Staff and caregivers treat residents in the same careful way most families would want, staying available day and night to provide security, companionship, and support for personal and medical needs, with RN and LPN supervision 24/7 and a 24-hour call system.

People who live here get help with daily activities, bathing, dressing, and medication management as needed, but also get some privacy and space, with options for private, shared, or furnished rooms, kitchenettes, private bathrooms, air-conditioning, cable TV, internet, and telephones. Residents can move into large, medium, or small private suites, each with its own cozy touch, and enjoy family-oriented sitting areas, covered porches, outdoor patios, a fireplace space, and a garden with walking paths. The home puts a focus on comfort and well-being, using a holistic approach to nurture physical, emotional, and spiritual health-there's even an on-site chapel with weekly services.

Housekeeping, linen, and laundry services make things easier, and residents can count on meals prepared by a professional chef, with well-balanced, organic choices three times daily and snacks, plus allergy-sensitive and diabetes diet options served in a restaurant-style dining room or with all-day dining choices. Families often describe the care as first-rate, with owners Steve and Lisa Stem and manager Sara Bennett involved in daily operations, and staff who try to make every resident feel like they're part of a close-knit group. Medical support runs beyond the basics, too, with on-site primary care visits, podiatry, clinical lab, diagnostic imaging, dental hygienist, and both physical, occupational, and speech therapy designed around each person's needs.

Residents can join in on activities like arts and crafts, music, daily fitness, movie nights, and community gatherings in activity rooms or out in the fresh air, shop at the salon for hair care, take part in wellness programs, or simply relax in quiet corners. There's also paid ambulance memberships for peace of mind, coordinated transportation for errands and doctor's appointments, and plenty of scheduled entertainment. Eagle Valley Personal Care balances care with independence, offering as much help as needed while respecting each resident's privacy and self-respect, always aiming to make life comfortable, safe, and a bit more pleasant for everyone who calls it home.
