    Beautiful modern facility, caring staff.

I placed my mom here and I'm very pleased - beautiful, modern facility with bright, clean apartments and a lovely courtyard. Staff are warm, professional, and responsive; meals are restaurant-style and delicious (chef-trained), and there are plenty of activities and on-site therapy that helped reduce my caregiver burden. The community feels safe, social, and well-run; I would recommend it to families.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The Blake at Hollingsworth Park is consistently described as a new, well-appointed senior living community with strong leadership, a welcoming atmosphere, and amenities that target a higher-end market. Many reviewers praised the facility’s aesthetic—bright, spacious apartments with large windows, high ceilings, and in-unit kitchenettes—and its polished common spaces. The dining program and culinary team receive frequent commendations for restaurant-style service, varied menus, and high-quality meals.

Care and staff: Across reviews there is a clear pattern of positive experiences with caregiving staff and departmental leaders. Staff are commonly described as compassionate, friendly, and professional; several named employees and the executive director received specific praise for communication and responsiveness. On-site therapy and medical-visit availability are cited as strengths that support resident independence and reduced caregiver burden. At the same time, reviews indicate operational inconsistencies that affect clinical reliability: concerns about medication/pharmacy oversight and lapses in following individual care plans are present and should be explored during a tour or intake discussion.

Dining and activities: The dining program is frequently highlighted as a major strength—many reviewers cite excellent meals, attentive dining-room staff, and special culinary events. Activity programming is likewise a positive element for many residents; the activity director is often characterized as engaged and proactive, with a schedule that includes arts, live performances, exercise, and social events. That said, some reviewers note variability in the frequency or meaningfulness of programs, and limited access to outdoor areas was mentioned as a constraint for those who prioritize outdoor time.

Facilities and accommodations: The building and apartments receive strong marks for cleanliness, modern finishes, and luxury-oriented common areas (piano/media rooms, elegant dining settings, and a courtyard). Apartment sizes and storage are commonly described as generous. Operationally, there are recurring notes of housekeeping and laundry scheduling issues and isolated sanitation concerns in resident rooms and bathrooms; prospective residents should clarify housekeeping frequency and standards.

Management and notable patterns: Leadership and executive communication are widely praised, and multiple accounts describe responsive follow-up when issues are raised. Conversely, there are repeated indicators of staffing turnover, occasional low staff morale, and periods of being short-staffed—factors that can impact continuity of care and response times. Back-office areas such as billing and online account access show recurring delays or lack of transparency. A limited number of reviews describe serious individual incidents, including allegations of theft, delays in emergency response, and clinical concerns; these accounts appear isolated relative to the overall positive pattern but are significant and warrant direct inquiry about incident reporting, outcome documentation, and preventive protocols.

Bottom line and practical recommendations: The Blake offers many attributes attractive to families seeking a modern, activity-rich, culinary-focused community with supportive leadership. For prospective residents and families, recommended questions include: current staffing ratios and turnover trends, pharmacy and medication-administration procedures, how individualized care plans are documented and audited, housekeeping and laundry schedules, billing practices and online-account access, incident reporting and follow-up processes, and opportunities for outdoor access. Asking for references from current families and for documentation of how the community addressed any past incidents can help clarify whether the facility’s operational controls align with a family’s expectations.

About The Blake at Hollingsworth Park

The Blake at Hollingsworth Park is managed by Blake Management Group and sits in a well-kept two-story building with plenty going on for residents looking for a good balance of care and activity, with options for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. There's a variety of spaces to use, including a movie room, activity rooms, card-playing room, salon, computer room, and several gathering spots where people come together for games or live music, and you'll often see residents joining fitness classes or enjoying community outings. There's a dedicated physical therapy clinic right on site that helps folks with rehab and wellness, and nursing staff are available around the clock for those who need more support, such as medication management or help with daily tasks, and the building has security and monitoring technology especially in its assisted living and memory care areas. The community has private Memory Care suites and units of one or two bedrooms, with designs that consider both safety and comfort, and residents have access to secluded courtyards and well-maintained grounds where the staff put effort into landscaping and holiday decorations. You'll find housekeeping services happening both daily and weekly, and there's laundry help and a concierge service that arranges transportation and keeps families updated about residents' care. Meals come from a chef and are served restaurant-style, but snacks and homemade choices are always set out as well, and the food usually earns good marks from residents and visitors. Folks with pets can bring them, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. The staff, from caregivers to hospitality and management, get praised for being attentive, helpful, and keeping the place clean, and many people say the community feels friendly and inviting, probably because the management is both responsive and personable. The Blake at Hollingsworth Park offers tailored wellness programs for both assisted living and memory care, and each resident has access to strong support for mobility issues, diabetes, and incontinence as needed. Activities change daily and often include entertainment or opportunities to get out and about, with transportation scheduled for errands and appointments. The place is known for keeping both the environment and the residents' spirits in good shape, offering the kind of day-to-day structure, care, and comfort a person might look for when wanting to feel at home while needing a little help.
