    Caring clean affordable attentive staff

I placed my dad here and I'm very pleased - the staff are warm, attentive and genuinely caring (Jesse and Amber are a dream team), the administrator is hands-on, and transitions were effortless. The building is clean, cozy and well run, meals are tasty, activities keep residents engaged, and families get timely, responsive updates. Affordable, welcoming, and I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Argent Court presents a mix of strengths and operational limitations that families should weigh when considering placement. Reviewers commonly describe the care culture as warm and family-like: staff are frequently characterized as compassionate, attentive, and welcoming, and many families praised specific caregivers, activity leaders, dining staff, and administrators for responsiveness and hands-on engagement. The community offers a broad activities program (bingo, pottery, movie nights, outings to shopping and restaurants, live music) and accessible transportation for appointments and errands. Respite suites and one-bedroom models are available, and common areas—including a bright dining room, library, and courtyard—are often described as clean and inviting.

Clinical capacity and staffing are mixed. The facility appears to operate primarily with licensed practical nurses and limited registered-nurse coverage; this, combined with periodic staff turnover and reports of short staffing, contributes to concerns about consistent clinical oversight and staffing reliability. There are also isolated serious concerns raised about medication administration and staff certification; families interested in the facility should verify current medication-management protocols, RN coverage, and any regulatory records. Several reviews noted that staff training and knowledge can vary, which can affect clinical confidence for residents with higher-acuity needs.

Dining and activities are overall positive selling points. Meals are described as tasteful and served on a schedule, with some families expressing strong satisfaction and others neutral or lukewarm opinions. The activities program is robust and varied, supporting social engagement and outings. The facility is also frequently praised for its responsive maintenance and administrative staff when issues arise.

Physical plant and amenities are a balance of attractive common spaces and aging elements. Many reviewers complimented tasteful decor, well-maintained interiors, and comfortable communal spaces; others observed small apartment footprints, an aging building envelope in places, and inconsistent exterior maintenance (lawn care, courtyard temperature). Memory-care options appear limited; there is no dedicated secured memory-care unit with locked doors, which may be a decisive factor for residents needing secured dementia-level care.

Overall pattern: Argent Court is often described as offering compassionate, community-oriented assisted living with strong programming and helpful transportation at a competitive price point. Key operational risks identified across comments are staffing consistency, clinical nursing depth, medication-administration controls, and some variability in cleanliness and grounds upkeep. Prospective residents and families should tour the community, ask about current RN coverage, medication policies and audits, staff training and turnover, memory-care availability, and recent inspection or compliance records to confirm the community’s current operational status.

    About Argent Court Assisted Living

Argent Court Assisted Living sits in a friendly Texas neighborhood with easy access to hospitals, MRI services, pharmacies, stores, and a church, and it's a place people can go to when they need extra support with daily life as they get older, and right when you walk in you'll notice how clean and elegant things are, with wide and bright halls, and well-kept gardens with real walking paths that work great for some sunshine and fresh air any time you want. This community is state licensed as Type B Large (License #146959) and can support up to 68 residents, with an expansion that's made room for 11 more apartments, and people can tour different Texas locations if they want to look around first.

There's a clear focus on helping every resident hold onto as much independence as they can, so staff like the Administrator Jesse Guerra, Director of Marketing Stephanie Barr, and Activities Director are friendly and calm, always around if someone needs help with anything from bathing and grooming to remembering medicine, and nursing care covers 12 to 16 hours a day depending on what's needed. People who live here get meals with good ingredients, and the food staff make sure each person's unique dietary needs and tastes are respected, with a large dining area that acts as the main spot for sharing meals and chatting, so nobody has to eat alone if they don't want to.

Residents can use a fitness room, library, or spa, and there's always something going on-from yoga, crafts, and daily devotionals, to social events put together by on-site activity managers, and the place makes sure people are engaged and never short of something to do, and there's transportation on hand for outings or doctor appointments. The call system works 24/7 for safety, and each service, from medication management to assistance with dressing, uses unique care program names shaped to fit each resident, whether for long-term living, independent living care, or short-term respite care after health issues.

People living here don't need to worry much about chores like cooking, cleaning, or keeping up with home repairs, and there's a sense that staff understand everyone wants to feel valued and at home, so they make an effort to help residents meet new friends, join in activities, and take pride in their space, with a goal to create both comfort and community. The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce once gave the facility a 4-star recognition, and all the services try to help seniors stay active, healthy, and involved with their surroundings.
