    Welcoming clean community parent thriving

I toured and moved my parent in and was impressed - the nurses, director, and staff were welcoming, responsive, and genuinely family-oriented. Our kitchenette-equipped apartment was immaculate, the community is very clean with a lovely courtyard/garden, lots of activities (chair yoga, walks, bingo, games), and fantastic, varied food. My parent adjusted well, is healthier and happy, and I would recommend this caring, homey community.

    Summary of reviews

Conner Court presents a largely positive environment for independent seniors, with consistent praise for cleanliness, food, and an active social program. Reviewers commonly highlight the facility’s well-kept common areas, attractive courtyard and garden, and a dining room described as lively with appealing meal options. The community’s small, residential scale and home-like atmosphere are repeated strengths, supported by on-site amenities such as a beauty salon, library, card room, TV/game areas, and kitchenette-equipped apartments.

Care and staffing elicit mixed impressions. Many families describe compassionate, attentive caregivers and a smooth transition process when care needs change; staff are frequently characterized as friendly and family-oriented. At the same time, several accounts point to variability in clinical-staff professionalism and limits on hands-on transfer assistance. This pattern suggests the facility may emphasize independence and has restrictive transfer-assistance policies or clinical oversight that can constrain caregiver actions; prospective residents who require regular transfer support should clarify these policies in advance.

Dining and activities are clear strengths. Meals are consistently praised for quality and variety, and the dining atmosphere is described as social and engaging. The activity calendar appears robust, including chair yoga, daily walks, bingo, exercise classes, movies, line dancing and seasonal/special events that contribute to an active social life and resident engagement.

Facility condition is generally positive, with prompt maintenance and an overall clean presentation. That said, unit size and decor are noted as limitations by several families: studio apartments are often described as small and parts of the building feel older or in need of updates. Prospective residents should inspect individual units for space and layout needs.

Management and administration show uneven performance. Communication and responsiveness receive both praise and criticism: reviewers recount responsive admissions staff and quick professional corrections when issues are raised, but others cite broken promises, unreliable follow-through, and at least one instance of short-notice resident discharge that did not align with expectations about notice periods. Administrative processes such as billing are outsourced, which some families found introduced additional complexity.

Overall, Conner Court may be a very good fit for independent seniors seeking a clean, social, and well-maintained setting with strong dining and activities. Families should verify clinical scope and transfer policies, review contract terms around discharge and notice, and inspect apartment sizes to ensure suitability for residents with evolving care needs.

    About Conner Court

Conner Court, managed by Enlivant and licensed with Facility ID 000497 and License No. 311607, offers several choices for seniors needing varying levels of care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement. The overall goal is to give residents a comfortable and safe setting that supports independence while still offering help when needed. The building sits in a wooded neighborhood where some apartment homes look over a green courtyard and tall trees, so there's always a bit of fresh air and sunshine to enjoy outside. Studio and one-bedroom apartments come with private or companion occupancy, kitchenettes with refrigerators and freezers, spacious bathrooms, carpeting, window treatments, and heating and air conditioning-there's enough room for keepsakes and another chair or two if someone visits, and pets are welcome, too, with a secured dog park for them to run around. Each apartment has individual indoor mailboxes, illuminated entryways, and safety features like smoke detectors and sprinkler systems.

Weekly housekeeping, laundry, linen service, trash removal, and regular maintenance are included, and residents can use the community's lounges, craft areas, libraries, activity rooms, and computer areas for socializing or hobbies like crafts, group sports viewing, happy hours, karaoke, and games. Staff organizes outings to places like Canyon Main Street and Palo Duro Canyon Scenic Preserve, and sometimes there are picnics, golf trips, or other field trips for a change of pace. Salon and barber shop services are available right on site for haircuts and more. The dining area serves daily meals restaurant-style, with menu items sometimes including things like crab cake sandwiches, pot roast, baby back ribs, strawberry shortcake, and ice cream sundaes.

When it comes to care, the building offers health and wellness programs, group exercise, and fitness classes, plus individualized care plans overseen by a full-time registered nurse who's available 24 hours a day. Specialized staff and a part-time nurse also support skilled nursing, help with bathing, dressing, medication management, and other activities of daily living. Memory care is available for adults living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia and there's higher-level skilled care on-site if needs change. Residents can get scheduled transportation for appointments or shopping, and the 24-hour call system means help is always nearby. The building prides itself on being both comfortable and functional, with people often commenting that the staff feels like family. All in all, Conner Court brings together a wide range of amenities and services-like a library, walking paths, outdoor spaces, guest accommodations based on availability, climate control, and a focus on safety and privacy-while letting residents enjoy social events, daily activities, and a bit of independence.
