    Caring staff excellent rehab family-like

My dad loves Ridgeview - I'm very pleased with the caring, professional staff who go above and beyond, excellent rehab and therapy, tasty meals, clean bright rooms and lots of activities. Communication and front-desk support have been strong, the community feels warm and family-like, and faith-based/outreach events added extra comfort. I'd happily recommend Ridgeview to other families.

    Summary of reviews

Ridgeview Village elicits polarized impressions from families and residents. A substantial portion of feedback highlights strong rehabilitation outcomes, an engaged activities program, and a generally clean, well-furnished facility with attractive common areas. Many reviewers credit the therapy teams with meaningful functional progress and rapid discharge home after short rehab stays. Admissions, front-desk interactions, and transportation/appointment support are frequently described as smooth and welcoming, and long-term staff continuity is noted as a strength in building resident relationships.

Care quality is uneven across accounts. Positive accounts emphasize compassionate CNAs, attentive nursing during some stays, and effective coordination between therapists and families. Conversely, other accounts describe lapses in clinical oversight: delayed medication delivery, inconsistent nursing competence, and gaps in documentation and follow-up. Those negative accounts also raise safety-related concerns such as missed call-light responses, inadequate transfer-safety practices, and cases that prompted re-hospitalization. Together these comments suggest variability in day-to-day clinical reliability tied in part to staffing levels and turnover.

Dining and daily living observations are similarly mixed. Many families praise timely meal service, pleasant dining environments, and staff who accommodate preferences. Others raise concerns about inconsistent food quality, limited options for texture-modified diets, and occasions when meals arrived cold or lacked variety. Housekeeping and facility cleanliness are most often called out as strengths — the building, décor, and communal spaces receive frequent positive mention — but sanitation and hygiene practices for individual care (bathing schedules, incontinence-care timeliness, laundry) are reported as inconsistent in some cases.

Activities and amenities are a clear positive for Ridgeview Village. Reviewers repeatedly cite an active calendar, live music in attractive common rooms, social programs, parakeets and other homelike touches, and a visible activity director who engages residents. These elements are consistently presented as contributors to resident morale and social engagement.

Management, administration, and communication are recurring themes in the critical feedback. Families describe inconsistent responsiveness from administration and social work, difficulty obtaining medical records or billing clarification, and limited electronic access to medication or care notes. Multiple accounts connect these administrative weaknesses to care-coordination breakdowns at transitions of care — notably discharge planning and home-health setup. There are also serious individual allegations, including concerns following a resident's death and allegations of theft and dishonesty; these are outlier but significant issues that prospective families should investigate directly with facility leadership and regulators.

Pattern assessment and guidance: Ridgeview appears to perform strongly in structured rehabilitation stays where therapy teams and short-term nursing focus on measurable goals. The facility environment, activities, and certain consistent staff members are clear assets. At the same time, variability in staffing, clinical oversight, communication, and administrative processes produces uneven experiences, particularly for longer-term residents or during periods of staff shortage. Prospective residents and families should tour the facility, ask for current staffing ratios and turnover data, clarify medication-administration and incident-reporting protocols, verify discharge/home-health procedures, review records-access policies and fees, and request references from recent short-term rehab patients. Doing so will help determine whether the facility’s current strengths align with the prospective resident’s clinical and social needs.

    About Ridgeview Village

Ridgeview Village: Leader in Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation sits across from the Professional Building at Texas Health Resources Hospital Cleburne, and they've been serving seniors for decades with a broad range of healthcare services, so you'll find options for independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, long-term care, respite care, short-term rehab, and even palliative or hospice care when that's needed, all in a secure, gated community where comfort and safety come first. Prices range from $2,424 to $9,121 each month, depending on the type of care and services, and they've got a team of experienced professionals like Daniel Whitehead, LNFA, and staff including a Business Office Manager, Nursing Home Administrator, and Assistant Director Of Nursing overseeing things, with a full-time registered nurse always on-site for 24-hour oversight, working right with the physician and interdisciplinary team, tailoring care to each resident's needs, whether it's daily help like bathing, dressing, walking, medication, or more hands-on nursing for wound care, rehab, or memory support. Memory care here means there's a secure environment so folks living with Alzheimer's or dementia get extra help and therapy, plus safety features to prevent wandering and reduce confusion, and the staff works with families for personalized plans. For people needing rehabilitation, they've got a big therapy gym and a restorative team running programs for walking, strength, or pain management, whether it's long-term or a short stay after surgery, always aiming to help folks get back to the highest level of function and, if possible, return home.

The facility itself tries to feel homelike, so you'll see modern rooms with kitchens or kitchenettes, washers and dryers, cable TV, safety sprinklers, and thoughtful touches for comfort and family visits. There's private and gathering spaces like a dining room for family, big activities rooms, a fitness center, salon/barbershop, and plenty of guest parking, with Wi-Fi throughout. Residents get support with laundry, housekeeping, meals that are nutritious and served in a welcoming way, and transportation for errands or appointments. They've designed programs for both engagement and well-being, so activities might be arts and crafts, recreation, education, or wellness classes, all aimed to keep people socially and mentally active. The place is pet-friendly and accessible for people with disabilities. Ridgeview Village offers medical services too, such as podiatry and therapy services, plus personal assistants for daily tasks, and their skilled nursing and rehabilitation is well-regarded in the Cleburne area. Family involvement is encouraged, and the staff regularly works with families to shape care and social planning, often taking time for consultations and assessments so each resident's plan fits their medical and personal needs. The facility holds an accreditation from the Joint Commission and keeps up-to-date records for licensing and inspections. For those needing a break, respite care helps caregivers, offering short-term relief after surgeries or hospital stays, while more extended medically supervised care is available for people who can't live alone any longer. Ridgeview Village is a locally-owned community with long-standing ties to the area, operating with a focus on individualized, reliable care in well-kept, attractive surroundings.
