Residents can spend time in the activity room, fitness center, dining room, salon, or common spaces, or head outside to enjoy walking paths, a quiet garden, or the courtyard. There are planned activities like Bingo, art classes, and movie nights, but also everyday things like cooking classes, gardening, and even intergenerational programs or stretching groups like Tai Chi or yoga. The Meaningful Moments® program stands out because staff take the time to learn about people-things like family, what hobbies they enjoyed, and what helps them feel good-so care plans fit each person, and days can be shaped around familiar joys. The goal is to give residents with memory loss a chance to feel safe, at home, and part of a community.
Meals are served in a dining room, and they offer different diets like vegetarian or diabetic-friendly meals. Housekeeping, laundry, and linen service are all available, and rooms have cable TV, Wi-Fi, washers, dryers, and kitchenettes in some cases. Residents can keep small dogs, and there's transportation for errands or medical visits. Some people come for respite care, and the staff also provide help with physician and podiatry care, medication management, and hospice services. Eagle Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center can handle people who may act out or try to leave, and uses behavior management and security to keep everyone safe. Residents join in social programming, arts, crafts, brain fitness classes, and even karaoke or Wii bowling, making the place feel lively and connected. With a capacity for about 50 residents, this community focuses on offering a caring, home-like space, with care for people even as their needs change.
