Meadows has three HUD-subsidized apartment complexes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities where folks can get help to live as independently as possible, and the place follows Section 811 rules, so only people who meet the diagnosis and income requirements live there. Apartments come as one- or two-bedroom units, and you'll find a community room for gatherings and a laundry room, and there's on-site management, weekend staff for help, and a limit of six residents for close support, so people still get privacy but aren't left alone if they need something. Meadows isn't just for people with IDD, because they also have assisted living, Board and Care Home services, and different kinds of elder care, and they'll help older adults stay as independent as they can with personal support, private bedrooms (sometimes with kitchenettes), and services like meal prep, medication help, and rides to work or fun if buses don't run nearby. They've got things sorted for families and residents needing memory care, Alzheimer's help, even hospice and home health services. Many residents get help with bathing, dressing, and moving around, and staff offer 24-hour supervision, emergency support, and even weekly training on things like cooking or budgeting. For people with IDD, Meadows runs programs out of their Unicorn Centers Campus, including day activities, Job Coaching, skills training, and Individualized Skills & Socialization, and everyone who comes in gets their own Individual Program Plan when they move in and updates as needed each year. Residents can join in gardening, use walking paths, and enjoy group meals in a dining area, plus they offer allergy-friendly menus and take care of housekeeping, and every room gets furnished if needed with emergency alerts built right in. The community takes pride in being recognized for Best Meals and Dining, Best Activities, and Most Friendly, and they've put a lot of effort into staffing, staff training on safety, and creating an environment where people can stay active and social, whether they live in an apartment or in a shared residential care home with a live-in caregiver. Meadows keeps things simple with eligibility and helps folks not under guardianship who might need a bit of a hand to carry on working, learning, or just enjoying their home, and they've got a few ways for people to see what's on offer through online profiles, with some viewing limits unless you sign up for extra tools or information.
