    Friendly compassionate staff, excellent care

I moved my dad here and I'm very pleased - the staff are consistently friendly, compassionate and responsive (Jaime and Catrina stood out), and the environment feels welcoming and safe. The building is immaculate, grounds and location are lovely, dining is excellent, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged; rooms are comfortable with practical touches like kitchenettes and walk-in showers. Overall a very strong, family-feeling community with only a bit of room to improve.

    Summary of reviews

Review content about Parkview Senior Living presents a mixed but primarily service-oriented picture. A large proportion of comments emphasize attentive, compassionate staff and a well-maintained, attractive facility with ample communal space. Reviewers frequently singled out individual caregivers and staff members for consistently going above and beyond, and many described the atmosphere as welcoming, home-like, and socially engaging.

Care and staffing are a central theme with two distinct patterns. On the positive side, families and residents often praise the professionalism, responsiveness, and personal attention provided by caregiving staff and leadership. Several caregivers and activity leaders receive repeated, specific commendations for reliability and compassion. On the other hand, a subset of comments raises operational concerns: understaffing or low staff-to-resident ratios, uneven training or competency across staff, and instances where assigned care tasks were not completed reliably. Those operational weaknesses are linked in some accounts to fall-prevention gaps and delays in attending to resident needs. Reviewers also flagged that the community may not be equipped for advanced dementia care or highly complex medical conditions.

Dining and programming are generally highlighted as strengths. Many reviewers describe generous meals, buffet-style brunches, live music, and an active calendar that includes craft fairs, fundraisers, intergenerational programming, karaoke, and regular social events. Activities staff are often described as energetic and effective at encouraging resident participation. A smaller number of comments indicate occasional inconsistencies in meal quality or preferences that prospective residents may want to sample during a tour.

Facility features and management draw largely favorable remarks. The campus is described as modern, clean, and well maintained, with features such as walk-in showers, elevators, private dining rooms, scenic views, outdoor walking spaces, and pet-friendly policies. Housekeeping and overall cleanliness are commonly praised, though several reviewers raised specific sanitation and odor concerns in some common areas and suggested variability in housekeeping performance. Management and admissions staff receive credit for transparent communication and assistance during move-in, although some reviewers expressed concerns about additional charges tied to levels of care and a perceived corporate emphasis on finances.

Taken together, Parkview appears to offer a strong assisted-living environment for residents who value social programming, a modern facility, and individualized, compassionate caregivers. Families considering Parkview should verify staffing levels on the household/unit they are touring, review fall-prevention protocols and staffing ratios for higher-need residents, clarify all fee structures tied to levels of care, and evaluate suitability if the prospective resident requires advanced dementia or intensive clinical support.
