    Warm clean well-run senior community

I'm very pleased with this small, well-kept senior living community in Sequim. My loved one's bright, roomy apartment, spotless common areas, and restaurant-style dining with thoughtful menus and snacks all day have made daily life comfortable. The staff - from nurses to activities - are caring, responsive, and go above and beyond; the activities director keeps residents engaged. Easy parking, accessible bathrooms, and safety features give me peace of mind. Overall a warm, clean, well-run place where my mom is happy.

    Summary of reviews

Trustwell Living at Sinclair Place presents as a clean, modern assisted-living community with a strong emphasis on a home-like atmosphere. Reviewers consistently praise the facility’s interiors, dining room presentation, and multiple communal spaces such as libraries, game areas, exercise rooms and sitting areas. Apartments are described as attractive and accessible, and safety features — including handicap-accessible bathrooms, emergency pull cords and pendant alert systems — are noted positively. The location and parking are generally seen as convenient for families and residents.

Care quality and staff performance are the facility’s most frequently highlighted strengths. Many families and residents describe caregiving staff as compassionate, attentive and supportive; a number of individual caregivers are repeatedly singled out for above-and-beyond efforts. Staff help with transitions, daily needs and social connection, and several remarks indicate improvements in resident well-being after moving in. At the same time, reviewers also describe operational staffing inconsistencies — periodic shortages, turnover at leadership levels, and uneven front-office responsiveness — that can affect day-to-day service continuity and clinical documentation.

Dining and programming receive mixed but generally positive assessments. The community offers restaurant-style meals, linen service, chef interaction and snack availability, and many residents enjoy the social dining environment. There are multiple positive notes about activities: an active activity director, game nights, musical performances and a calendar of events that supports socialization. However, several families report limited menu variety, repeat offerings, small portions at times, or variability in meal quality between shifts.

Operational and clinical limitations emerge as recurring themes. Reviewers flagged inconsistencies in incontinence-care and personal-care practices, occasional lapses in housekeeping or laundry follow-through, and medication documentation and lab coordination issues. Some families felt the community’s nursing and staffing model was not sufficient for higher-acuity needs; a few described difficult transitions when residents needed more intensive medical support. There are also concerns about billing and contract rigidity, including re-admission and refund practices that families should review closely prior to move-in.

A notable external factor affecting perceptions of safety is activity on adjacent property and campus perimeter access. Several accounts describe encampments and unauthorized use of nearby grounds that prompted concerns about trespass and the need for more robust perimeter-management. These issues are environmental and community-adjacent, but they influence family impressions of security and property value.

In summary, Sinclair Place appears well-suited for prospective residents seeking a well-maintained, socially active assisted-living environment with a strong caregiving culture. Prospective residents and families should verify current staffing ratios, clarify the community’s capability for higher-acuity care, review dining menus and portion standards, confirm housekeeping and laundry processes, and read contract and re-admission terms carefully. Also ask about perimeter-security practices and accepted payment sources, since financial and external-safety factors were recurring considerations in family feedback.

About Trustwell Living at Sinclair Place

Trustwell Living at Sinclair Place sits in Sequim, Washington, surrounded by peaceful natural views, and for over 20 years it's given folks a place to live with care and respect no matter how much help they need, so a person there can choose independent living, assisted living, memory care, or even skilled nursing care, and if someone only needs a break or extra support for a short while, respite care's an option too. This community has 68 licensed beds, round-the-clock nurses, and both registered nurses and licensed practical nurses on staff. They help residents with daily things like bathing, dressing, or taking medication, and if a person needs injections or special medical help, the staff's trained for that too, and they're ready for Alzheimer's care, wandering protection, and even in-home caregiving for those needing extra attention.

Apartments come in different layouts - some are studios or semi-private, and some face the sunrise or sunset, while all have features for easy movement like no-step showers and wide doors for wheelchairs or walkers, and all rooms offer air conditioning, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and guest room options, with kitchenettes for folks who like a quiet night in with a cup of tea or a bit of cooking. Everything's ADA accessible, so getting around won't be a hassle, and housekeeping, laundry, and dry cleaning are part of regular life, so folks don't have to fuss over chores. Meals come from a professional chef and a registered dietician who pay attention to different needs, so if someone needs gluten-free, diabetic, vegan, or just a good stick-to-your-ribs meal, they're set, and mealtimes happen in a restaurant-style dining room with a friendly feeling where neighbors gather to talk, and family can join for special events.

Activities bridge the day, and with a full-time director who's always planning something, residents can join Tai Chi, bingo, arts and crafts, hula dancing, trivia nights, casino events, and group classes, plus happy hours, dances, picnics, and live music pop up on the schedule. Gatherings happen inside and out - folks can garden, birdwatch, or relax out in the courtyards and porches, and they can walk in safe indoor spaces or sit in lounges, game rooms, or creative studios for painting, puzzles, or computer use. Pet lovers can bring their dogs or cats, and the community's even got veterinary visits and pet programs. Field trips, shopping excursions, and outings to local restaurants occur thanks to scheduled transportation, and there's free rides to medical appointments too. When it comes to spiritual needs, the staff arrange chaplain visits and hold services for Catholic, Jewish, and Protestant faiths.

Sinclair Place focuses on a holistic approach, working to meet physical, emotional, and social needs, so with therapy on site, including both occupational and physical therapies, a fitness room for exercise, and classes designed to keep everyone limber and moving, even those who need extra support don't get left behind. Safety is a big priority, with secured grounds, emergency call systems in each apartment, wandering protection for memory care residents, and staff always nearby. Medication support and reminders help folks stay on track, and the team tailors care plans to each person after getting to know their routines and habits, which helps residents keep their independence as much as possible. Special services like hospice support, in-house beauty salon, scheduled podiatrist and therapy visits, and a community with both private and communal gathering places round out the daily life.

Sinclair Place runs on a belief in treating everyone like family, aiming to give seniors and their families peace of mind, and the all-inclusive fee structure helps folks stick to a budget. The community's earned awards for best dining and activities, and people talk about the friendly staff. Life here centers on comfort, safety, companionship, and kindness, and the staff works hard to make sure residents get to enjoy their days as they'd like, all while staying secure and supported.
