    Loving attentive small community care

I placed my mom in this small, home-like community and have been very pleased - the staff are loving, communicative, and go above and beyond, with daily updates and excellent medical coordination. She's happy and comfortable with good food, engaging activities, a therapy pet, cozy common areas and a patio with a water view; rooms are clean and adequate with private baths. Compassionate, family-like care gave us real peace of mind and I highly recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with consistent praise for the facility’s caregiving quality, staff attitude, and the homelike environment. Families repeatedly describe Serenity Villa Assisted Living as a peaceful, well-kept small community where residents feel comfortable and content. Many reviewers emphasize that the home-like atmosphere and small-town sentiment create a sense of family; several say the staff felt like family and that moving a loved one there was the best decision they made.

Care quality is a dominant theme. Reviewers frequently call out the compassionate, attentive nature of the staff and their competence in memory care and end-of-life situations. Several notes mention memory care professionals and compassionate end-of-life care specifically, indicating strength in both ongoing dementia-support and sensitive transitional care. Communication about medical issues and regular contact with doctors are highlighted as positives, and families appreciate daily updates and thorough initial visits — evidence of an organized intake process and proactive family engagement.

Staffing and interpersonal interactions receive particularly high marks. Words and phrases repeated in the reviews include “amazing,” “attentive,” “respectful,” and “caring.” Reviewers report that staff go above and beyond, are very communicative, and make both residents and families feel respected and informed. This consistent praise for personnel underpins much of the trust families express and is directly associated with high recommendations and feelings of being “blessed” by the care provided.

Facilities and setting are described as cozy and picturesque. The community is characterized as smaller and intimate, with inviting common spaces such as a gathering area with a fireplace, an inviting dining room, open community areas, and a patio with a water view. Rooms are described as clean, fine and adequate, contributing to the overall well-kept impression. The small size is a feature for many reviewers who like the home-like, family atmosphere; however, this same attribute could be a drawback for prospective residents who prefer larger campuses or broader amenity lists.

Activity programming is robust and frequently mentioned. Reviewers note a busy schedule of engaging activities that include exercise, music, dancing, and creative adaptations like balloon balls with pool noodles. Additional engagement features such as a therapy pet and a fish aquarium are cited as meaningful stimuli for residents. The combination of physical, social, and sensory activities appears to support resident contentment and daily engagement.

Dining and daily living are positively reported. Multiple reviewers describe the food as wonderful and meals as good, suggesting consistently satisfactory dining services. A small practical concern referenced in the reviews is the dorm-size refrigerator in rooms, which some may find limiting for personal food storage. Otherwise, rooms are described as adequate and very clean.

Notable patterns and caveats: the small-community size is repeatedly mentioned — usually as a benefit, but it may not fit everyone’s expectations if someone is seeking a larger, more institutional facility with more extensive on-site services. The only specific negative detail across the summaries is limited in-room appliance space (dorm-size fridge). There are no recurring complaints about staff responsiveness, cleanliness, safety, or clinical care; instead, the dominant impression from reviews is exceptional personal care, strong communication, and a nurturing environment.

In summary, the reviews portray Serenity Villa Assisted Living as a small, peaceful, and well-managed community with warm, communicative staff, strong memory-care capabilities, a rich activity calendar, and pleasing physical spaces. Families consistently report satisfaction, gratitude, and high recommendations, especially praising the staff’s compassion, medical communication, and the home-like atmosphere that supports resident happiness and family peace of mind.

    About Serenity Villa Assisted Living

Serenity Villa Assisted Living sits at 280 North Baumann Street in Campbellsport, Wisconsin, about thirteen miles from West Bend, and the place holds twenty-two beds and offers assisted living, memory care, and home care for seniors. The community puts focus on providing help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and even helping people who can't walk very well or have special health issues, and there's always a full-time RN Manager around to keep an eye on everyone's health. Folks can choose from studio, semi-private, shared, or companion room layouts, and some rooms might have a kitchenette, but there are also furnished options and private bedrooms for those who want their own space.

Staff members have training working with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia, and the memory care program comes with secure doors and a special outdoor area, trying to keep people from wandering and aiming to lower anxiety and slow memory loss, which really matters for those dealing with confusion or forgetfulness. Help for those with mild cognitive impairment is there too, and the team has ways to handle medication management, dementia waivers, and even hospice or skilled nursing care when that's needed, plus there's physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy available.

Residents find help with laundry, cleaning, dry cleaning, and cooking, while meal services fit all sorts of diets and all-day dining is an option for folks who get hungry at odd hours. The meals get served in a main dining room, but there are lots of different spaces like a garden, an arts room, a walking path, and an in-house barber or salon, so the days aren't boring, and there are things like movie nights, social and resident-run activities, plus some organized recreational events.

The building offers services for those who need more independence or just a bit of help, and home care can happen too, so someone could get services at home. There's 24-hour supervision, call and emergency alert systems, safe spaces especially for memory care, and the facility tries to fit every care level from those doing fine on their own to residents with many needs. Transportation, parking, and phone use are part of the deal, and a nurse manager makes sure health and safety are top priority. Serenity Villa Assisted Living has a current resident rating of 1 out of 10, so that's something to think about, but the whole place is set up to try to handle both regular assisted living and memory care in one building, backed up by services that cover daily life, medical needs, and safety.
