The care team follows a custodial care model and remains on-call 24/7, supervised by Administrator Young Obinna. Omega House focuses on supportive personal care, especially for Alzheimer's and dementia, providing dedicated memory care units, specially designed dementia care services, and waivers for residents with advanced care needs. Staff help with bathing, dressing, transfers, diabetes management, medication assistance, and management of mild cognitive impairment.
Safety is a key part of daily life at Omega House, with features like emergency buttons, ADA compliant private bathrooms, fall prevention plans, emergency alert systems, and routine health checks. Meals are provided in a community dining room, with both scheduled and all-day dining options, and the kitchen can handle allergies or diabetes diets. Apartments come with basic utilities and large decks for relaxation. There are many community amenities like exercise and fitness rooms, walking paths, gardens, a library, computer access, wheelchair accessible areas, entertainment programs, special event parties, and life enrichment activities. Family counseling and support services are available, and pet policies allow some residents to bring pets.
Omega House accepts residents who need help with day-to-day activities, including those who are non-ambulatory or require hospice care with a specialized waiver.
