    Gorgeous nautical community; luxurious amenities

I toured the gorgeous, nautical-themed community and I'm excited to move in early 2025. The welcoming, professional staff - from Executive Director Mara to Stacy Giddings - were caring, informative, and responsive; KORU Health appears to be a strong, local owner/manager. The luxurious amenities (tea room, golf simulator, indoor pool, rooftop deck, Comet Club, gardens and walking paths), spacious common areas, and plentiful activities make this a beautiful, family-friendly place I'd recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Overview Reviews convey a consistently positive impression of The Westerly Pewaukee as a new, design-forward senior community with strong emphasis on amenities, social spaces, and customer service. Commenters highlight the facility’s aesthetic — waterfront/nautical touches, landscaped gardens, and a variety of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces — and emphasize that the environment is intended to be comfortable and upscale. Multiple specialty amenities are noted, including a pool, rooftop deck, tea room, golf simulator, and the Comet Club social venue.

Care and staff Feedback places particular weight on staff characteristics: reviewers describe staff as kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and customer-service oriented. Leadership is singled out positively, with an identified executive director and named sales/transition staff praised for guiding prospective residents through the move-in process. Reviewers describe support for transitions and empathy toward older adults. At the same time, one pattern of concern is that oversight for residents with disabilities or higher care needs is not yet clearly defined; prospective residents should verify specific care protocols, staffing levels, and clinical oversight if higher-acuity support is required.

Activities and lifestyle The Westerly’s activity profile is a clear strength in these summaries. The combination of formal programming (Comet Club, organized events) and amenity-based options (pool, golf simulator, rooftop and gardens) suggests a community built to support social engagement and recreational variety. Reviewers express anticipation for the community becoming operational and note that event coordination and organization appear to be priorities.

Facilities and dining Physical spaces receive repeated praise for being spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out with both large common areas and quieter nooks. Landscaping and walking paths are highlighted as contributing to tranquility. There is relatively little specific commentary about dining quality or meal service; this absence indicates an information gap rather than a negative—prospective residents should request current sample menus, dining schedules, and meal-service logistics during tours or pre-opening briefings.

Management and operations Ownership and management are viewed favorably, with references to a locally responsive operator and positive impressions of sales and leadership staff. Because many comments come from the pre-opening period (early 2025 grand opening referenced), some operational elements remain to be demonstrated in practice. That introduces short-term uncertainty about service consistency at opening; ask for written staffing plans, onboarding timelines, and contingency approaches for the opening period.

Notable patterns and recommendations Overall, the summaries reflect strong enthusiasm for the campus design, amenity set, and staff attitude. The main practical concerns are operational: limited clarity about disability-specific oversight and the usual uncertainties that accompany a new community before it opens. Recommended next steps for prospective residents and families are to confirm clinical staffing levels, care protocols for residents with mobility or cognitive support needs, dining offerings, and how management will ensure consistent service during the first months of occupancy. These inquiries will help determine fit for residents who need higher levels of assistance while validating the positive attributes described by current reviewers.
