    Spacious friendly clean resort-like community

I live here and I'm very pleased - the staff are friendly and attentive, the apartments are beautiful and spacious (my separate bedroom/living area is easy to maneuver), and the whole place is very clean and well run. There are lots of activities (music, crafts, exercise, outings), three meals a day in a large dining room, useful onsite services (salon, therapy, nursing/doctor visits) and a welcoming, resort-like atmosphere; pricing is around $4,200 with tiered increases, but overall it's comfortable and accommodating.

    Summary of reviews

Renaissance by Rennes - Weston is portrayed as an apartment-style senior living community with a resort-like, homey atmosphere and substantial emphasis on social programming and communal amenities. Reviewers consistently highlight spacious one- and two-bedroom units, a large dining room and comfortable sitting areas, housekeeping service, fitness and salon facilities, and on-site clinical resources such as physical therapy, nursing and physician visits. The facility also provides transportation for shopping and outings and has instituted visible infection-control protocols, including routine COVID-19 testing in at least some periods. Planned renovations and ongoing upkeep are noted, and many accounts describe a clean, well-maintained environment.

Activities and dining are frequent strengths in the feedback. The activity calendar includes musical entertainment, crafts, exercise classes, religious services, and special programs; residents appreciate the variety and social opportunities. Dining is described as a three-meal daily service in a pleasant dining room, although some reviewers characterized menu variety as repetitive. Transportation and an active events schedule contribute to a social, engaged resident experience for those who participate.

Care and staffing impressions are mixed. Numerous reviewers praise helpful, welcoming staff who learn residents' names and provide attentive service; others describe inconsistent friendliness and initial onboarding hiccups. More concerning are reports that the community may not be equipped to provide sustained personal-care services for higher-acuity residents: reviewers described insufficient supervision or an inability to meet required levels of care in specific cases, sometimes resulting in transfers. These accounts, together with mentions of staff turnover, indicate variability in clinical continuity and supervision that prospective residents and families should evaluate closely relative to acuity needs.

Management and communication surface as another area of mixed performance. Several accounts note improved management, adequate staffing, and good communication in later periods, while others point to front-desk communication gaps, administrative responsiveness issues, and uneven follow-through. For activity participation, some residents experienced limited encouragement to engage, suggesting that outreach to less-social residents may be inconsistent.

In sum, Renaissance by Rennes - Weston appears to offer attractive accommodations, robust activities, and convenient on-site services that suit independent and lower-dependency residents seeking apartment-style living with social programming. Families considering placement for individuals with higher personal-care needs should assess clinical capabilities, staffing stability, and administrative responsiveness during a tour and through direct questions about care plans and escalation procedures. Asking for recent staffing metrics, turnover data, and examples of care transitions may help clarify whether the community can meet specific care expectations.
