    Remodeled facility; resident loves staff

I'm very satisfied with my stay - the facility is being nicely remodeled (new carpeting), my right-sized apartment feels safe and at home, and there are plenty of activities. The staff are compassionate, professional, and go above and beyond; the meals are tasty and I highly recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The reviews describe Edgewood Park Place as a community with consistently strong interpersonal care and a welcoming atmosphere. Reviewers emphasize professional, compassionate staff and a pronounced sense of community and safety; these strengths are the dominant themes and support a generally positive view of the facility's day-to-day living environment.

Care and staff: Staff performance is the clearest strength. Multiple reviewers highlighted staff as friendly, caring, professional, and willing to go beyond routine duties; descriptors included "incredible" and "excellent" care quality. This pattern indicates reliable, relationship-centered caregiving and responsive interactions that contribute to resident satisfaction and family confidence.

Dining: Feedback about dining is mixed. Some reviewers praised meals as delicious, but others expressed concerns about flavor and perceived declines in cooking quality. Reviewers also noted turnover among kitchen staff, which appears to be associated with variability in meal quality and consistency. Prospective residents should expect generally positive meal offerings but may want to ask management about current kitchen staffing and menu consistency.

Activities and accommodations: Activities are described as plentiful and engaging, and apartment sizes are characterized as appropriate for resident needs. The facility projects a home-like, secure environment with a range of social options that support resident engagement and wellbeing.

Facilities and management: The facility is undergoing upgrades such as carpet replacement and other remodeling, which reviewers framed as efforts to modernize and improve the environment. Those renovations can be a positive sign of capital investment but may also cause temporary disruption; reviewers indicated awareness of active construction work. Management appears to foster professionalism and community, but the kitchen-staff turnover and renovation logistics are operational areas to monitor.

Notable patterns and guidance: The dominant positive pattern is strong staff-resident relationships and high perceived care quality. The main operational caveats are inconsistent dining quality linked to kitchen staffing changes and short-term disruption from ongoing renovations. Families touring the community should evaluate current dining consistency, inquire about kitchen staffing stability and renovation timelines, and observe staff-resident interactions to confirm the service level described in these reviews.

    About Edgewood Park Place

Edgewood Park Place, at 1930 E 12th Street in Casper, Wyoming, is an assisted living community that's been operating since 1984 under different ownerships, with Edgewood Healthcare acquiring it in 2017. The building holds 60 units and provides both long-term accommodations and short stays for seniors who need care, and it's set up so residents can live as independently as possible but still have help nearby day and night. The apartments are one or two bedrooms, with full kitchens, good storage, climate controls, fire detection systems, and emergency pendants for extra safety, and there's services like meal reminders, laundry, housekeeping, linen services, apartment maintenance, transportation scheduling, grocery delivery, and three meals a day with snacks.

Staff includes an administrator, nurse, and resident assistants who monitor health, manage medications, help with diabetes care and incontinence, and set up individualized care plans. Health programs here cover diabetes management, skin and nail care, disability support, and there are outpatient therapy options like physical and occupational therapy. The community looks at walking ability with gait speed analysis, helps people recover at home, and provides home health and hospice care for comfort during illness. Seniors can get timely health care, and there are extra supports for keeping up daily routines, even help improving the home with ramps or bathroom updates.

Edgewood Park Place lets residents join both quiet and social activities, from gardening in the outdoor courtyards to arts and crafts, group exercises, gardening, movie viewings, games, sunroom visits, time in a library, and even services at its chapel or beauty salon. There's gaming, social sitting areas, and family-style spaces for reconnecting. When it comes to transportation, the community handles bus services, non-emergency rides for medical visits, local transit, and scheduling. There's also support for food needs, SNAP food vouchers, home-delivered meals, and help with groceries, along with pantries and even soup kitchens nearby.

Seniors at Edgewood Park Place get medical equipment if needed, bathroom and home modifications, and accessibility technology. There's health clinics, screenings, pharmacies, urgent care, and health fairs. Staff help with daily living but also dementia and memory care, mental health support, independent living, 55+ lifestyles, day care for adults, and secured supportive housing, plus respite care for temporary stays. Veterans get specialized support and help applying for benefits. There's legal aid, elder abuse prevention, advocacy, and disability-specific aid, including home rehab grants and support groups.

Residents can keep their pets and choose from three levels of care, with staff deciding what fits best with changing needs. There are programs for healthy aging and outpatient therapy, and people can pay through Medicaid. The environment aims for a warm, family-like feel, with both independence and safety in mind. The place rounds out care with regular staff check-ins, health monitoring, medication help, and a general focus on helping seniors stay healthier and more independent for longer. Edgewood Park Place is open every hour, every day, and keeps a focus on comfort, routine, and making life a little easier for those living there.
