    Compassionate, attentive hospice; home-like comfort

I'm very satisfied with my experience: the staff are compassionate, kind and attentive, and their cheerful, home-like atmosphere - immaculate rooms and home-cooked meals - made me comfortable. Hospice services are dependable and the overall care felt top-quality; I would recommend it.

    About Bird's Eye Residence

Bird's Eye Residence in Margate, FL, has 6 licensed beds and provides several types of senior care under one roof, which is handy if folks need more help over time without moving away from their community, and the place has private apartments, shared dining rooms, indoor spots to gather, outdoor areas, a separate memory care building, and spaces where people can do activities, whether it's inside or out, and for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, there's a secured area with a computerized wandering alert system, bracelets that set off alarms if someone tries to leave, and staff awake and around all the time because some people might try to go outside or might act out, but the staff's trained to help with those behaviors, provide medication, do injections, and keep track of health needs like checking blood sugar for folks with diabetes or dealing with incontinence, and they cover the basics like helping residents with bathing, dressing, getting from bed to chairs, eating, managing their medicines, and they'll do one or two-person transfers or use a mechanical lift if someone can't move well, and you'll see they prepare meals, with kosher and vegetarian options, along with common dining and social times, religious services, activities both on site and off site, and even transportation for shopping or doctor visits, and if a person just needs a short break-maybe a caregiver's away-the respite care service fits that bill, while those who want to live more on their own can stay independent but have support on hand if anything comes up, and if something happens, they've got skilled nursing, rehab services, wound care, and hospice care, so you won't be shuffling back and forth if your needs change, and everything's regulated with a state license, with oversight from the Agency for Health Care Administration, so past actions like violations, fines, and emergency power plans are all filed and available to look up, and the community's Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity status means they try to treat everyone fairly, with the goal to bring peace of mind to families who may worry about their loved ones, and all these details, including the current address and full profiles, are on hand to help residents and families decide what suits them best.
