About Sloan Home of Central FL, Inc

Sloan Home of Central FL, INC is a small care facility in a peaceful, suburban area at 307 South Hiawassee Road in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by tall trees and secured by a white picket fence which wraps around the property, making it feel safe and home-like, and the building itself is a single story with modern touches and big windows that let in natural light, which helps keep the place bright and comfortable for the residents. The home can serve up to six seniors at a time, so folks get to know each other and form lasting bonds with staff and other residents, and part of the appeal is that everyone can bring and decorate their own suite with familiar furniture from home, helping them settle in easier. Sloan Home offers several types of care including assisted living, memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, long-term care or skilled nursing, and independent living for active seniors who still want some support, plus they have adult day services, home care, and home health care (Medicare-Certified) to meet different needs, and residents can get help with daily living like bathing, dressing, medication support, and personal hygiene. The staff, who are described as friendly, helpful, joyful, and kind, stay on-site 24 hours a day to assist and to make the place feel like a small family, and they keep up with cleaning, laundry, meals, and general help. Sloan Home serves three homemade meals a day, with room for special diets, and extra services like housekeeping and laundry are available if needed, sometimes for an extra fee; independent living residents might get one or two meals a day, and there's always some flexibility. The facility offers hospice care for end-of-life comfort and respite care for short-term stays when regular caregivers need a break, and the memory care program is made for the higher needs and added costs of seniors living with memory impairment. Activities can include a full schedule of social events, music and craft programs, movie nights, exercise, pet therapy, and music therapy, though the focus stays on comfort rather than busy programs, and there are spaces for reading, games, and quiet times. Seniors have outdoor areas to enjoy, which are safely enclosed, plus amenities like a book room, a spa or wellness area, and a barber or parlor, and transportation is available for doctor's visits, errands, or to faith-based services. The facility is recognized for its steady commitment to quality living, is a registered Florida profit corporation, and has kept up with state compliance every year since 2011, operating in a way that tries to give seniors a safe, comfortable, and friendly home where daily life is supported but never rushed.
