    Friendly staff, clean facility, affordable

I recommend Ponderosa Lane - the staff (Alex included) are friendly, compassionate, and give my dad individual, attentive care. The facility is spotless, well-kept and comfortable, meals are good, activities and visiting are easy, and they helped with funding, so it's a very caring, reasonably priced place.

    Summary of reviews

MH Tender Care II elicits strongly mixed impressions. Many families emphasize a clean, well-kept facility with a home-like atmosphere and pleasant grounds. Multiple comments praise the staff as compassionate, friendly, and attentive — several reviewers described individualized attention, extra help for specific residents, and a close-knit community feel. The facility is noted as conveniently located for family members, reasonably priced for some residents, and offering funding-assistance options. Dining is described positively by some visitors, and visitation flexibility is commonly mentioned as a practical convenience.

At the same time, there are repeated operational concerns that prospective families should consider. The most specific clinical worry is medication-management gaps; at least one reviewer described missed medications, and reviewers broadly described variability in personal-care delivery. These items suggest staffing variability that can translate into inconsistent day-to-day care. Safety supervision for residents who are highly active or have mobility needs was also raised as an area of concern, implying that monitoring and fall-prevention practices may not be uniformly robust.

Activity programming and supportive services show mixed consistency. While activities and social opportunities exist and are appreciated by some families, others felt programming was insufficient or inconsistent. Spiritual and pastoral-support options were described as limited, and a few reviewers expressed concerns about end-of-life care coordination and responsiveness around serious clinical declines. Communication between the facility and families also appears uneven: some relatives praise open interactions and helpful staff members, while others cite lapses in incident follow-up and clarity.

There are also more serious, singular claims that bear attention. One or more reviewers raised allegations of theft and financial misconduct; given the nature of those concerns, families should seek documentation, ask about asset-protection policies, and consult licensing or ombudsman resources as part of their due diligence. Overall, MH Tender Care II presents many strengths around cleanliness, atmosphere, and several engaged staff members, but also shows patterns of inconsistency in clinical operations, supervision, programming, and family communication that prospective residents and families should investigate further during tours and conversations with management.

    About MH Tender Care II

MH Tender Care II, which also goes by the name Mh Tender Care 111, operates in Palm Coast, Florida, across several addresses like 53 Riviere Lane, 47 Pickering Dr, and others in the city, and provides both assisted living and memory care for seniors who need ongoing support. The facility helps residents with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine, and keeps a staff on-duty all day and night to make sure people are safe, especially with a secure lock system for those with memory challenges. People can find private or semi-private rooms, with each one-bedroom unit including meals and utilities, and the staff helps everyone enjoy hobbies, stay active, or try new things, whether that's gardening or group events in common spaces like a courtyard cafe with tropical plants. They serve three homemade meals a day offering options for meat eaters and vegetarians, and can change meal plans if someone has special health needs like high blood pressure or diabetes. There's housekeeping, laundry, on-site and off-site activities, and regular devotional services if anyone wants to attend. Residents can use fitness spaces, a hairdresser, recreation rooms, and pleasant gardens or book rooms, plus there are organized fitness schedules and movie times and sometimes special programs like music or animal therapy for those with memory problems. Staff regularly checks on residents' needs so the level of care fits each person, and memory care programs help those with Alzheimer's or dementia through specialized routines and extra safety measures. Staff will help with transportation to doctor appointments, errands, or faith-based activities when needed, and help with grooming or getting dressed, whether inside the room or in shared showers. The whole design of the community, from group activities to the layout of the grounds, tries to make sure every resident can live as comfortably and independently as possible in a tropical, welcoming setting with a focus on keeping life simple, clean, and friendly.
