    Supportive, clean, affordable independent living

I moved my mom here and I'm very pleased - kind, responsive staff and supportive management made the transition smooth. The building and grounds are spotless and well-maintained, apartments are roomy with full kitchens, utilities and light housekeeping included, and it's pet-friendly. Great location near shopping and Garden on Havana, plus a busy calendar of events (yoga, book clubs, movies, socials, Bistro) that keep residents engaged; overall a very welcoming, affordable independent-living option I would recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Bella Vita Senior Living receives consistent praise for its staff and community programming. Families and residents commonly describe staff as caring and responsive, and many note that transitions into the community are handled smoothly. The facility offers an active calendar — book clubs, card games, craft groups, movie nights, exercise classes including chair yoga and QiGong, and resident social events — which contributes to a lively independent-living atmosphere. On-site amenities such as a Bistro, exercise room, library, and scheduled transportation are repeatedly cited as conveniences that support resident independence.

Facility upkeep and location are frequent strengths. Reviewers describe the building and grounds as clean, well maintained, and attractively decorated, with a welcoming lobby and outdoor seating areas. The community’s location near shopping, restaurants, and services is a major advantage for prospective residents who want walkable access to daily needs. Apartments are often characterized as generous in some configurations (notably ADA-designated units), with full kitchens and in-unit laundry in larger units; rental packages are commonly presented as all-inclusive, covering utilities, cable, maintenance, and light housekeeping.

There are several operational patterns prospective residents should verify directly. Bella Vita does not appear to offer a centralized dining program or daily meal service, so residents who rely on prepared meals should plan accordingly. Multiple reviews indicate inconsistent fulfillment of ancillary promises (for example, housekeeping or maid services that were advertised but not always delivered), which points to variability in service reliability. Security and access control were raised as a concern in multiple accounts — unlocked side stairs and plans for additional gates were mentioned — suggesting perimeter controls may be an area of ongoing improvement. Parking capacity and the pedestrian environment adjacent to a busy street were also noted as limitations.

Operationally, reviewers indicate variability in unit size, finish, and natural light; some units were described as smaller or darker depending on layout and cabinet/appliance choices. Admissions and tour logistics have produced occasional bottlenecks, reflecting constrained tour staffing at times. There are also recurring comments about management changes, occasional rent increases, and removal of certain perks — elements that speak to leadership stability and long-term affordability.

In summary, Bella Vita appears to be a strong option for independent-living residents seeking an active, socially engaged community with caring staff and a convenient location. Key due-diligence items for prospective residents and families include confirming the availability and reliability of promised ancillary services (housekeeping, transportation), clarifying the absence of meal-service offerings, inspecting specific unit sizes and finishes for light and layout, reviewing parking and access arrangements, and discussing fee/lease-change practices and recent leadership turnover. These checks will help align expectations with the facility’s operational realities.

    About Bella Vita Senior Living

Bella Vita Senior Living stands as a high-rise senior living community in Aurora, Colorado, where adults 55 and older can rent one- or two-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 640 to 1120 square feet, each fitted with things like air conditioning, granite counters, stainless steel appliances (when available), and wood-style plank flooring, as well as washers and dryers. Residents get utility costs included in the rent-like water, heat, electricity, trash, and sewer-and there's covered parking, storage units for rent, and both on-site maintenance and management services, so no one has to handle repairs or look for someone outside the building for help, which is handy. The property allows up to two pets per resident, including cats, small dogs up to 20 pounds each or one up to 45 pounds, and the grounds include walking trails, a dog park, an outdoor firepit, and places like a third-floor terrace with barbecue grills and lots of places to sit in the fresh air.

Inside, Bella Vita gives residents common spaces like a library with a lounge, a game and craft room, multi-purpose meeting rooms, and a theater room, plus a 24-hour fitness center, and community-wide internet, cable television, a coffee bar, and trash valet, which all come free and make daily life easier. Security has a focus too, with cameras, nightly patrols, and keyless entry keeping the building safer. There's a clear non-smoking policy for everyone's comfort. The building is set up for handicap access so people with mobility aids can get around, and every apartment can offer ground floor options if needed. Residents can enjoy social programs with weekly activities and life enrichment events to help folks meet each other and stay active, and the community has earned awards for best activities, friendliness, and overall quality based on positive reviews about helpful staff and good care.

Food matters here, with a focus on chef-prepared, balanced meals using quality ingredients, and residents can also visit the complimentary bar if they want a drink. Concierge services take care of things like arranging deliveries and appointments, which saves time. Specialist care options are available ranging from independent living for active older adults, to assisted living for those who need extra help with daily routines like bathing and dressing, and memory care for people living with Alzheimer's or dementia-all supported by trained aides for those who might prefer home care, so that's a comfort if someone just wants companionship or light help at home.

Bella Vita offers different care types to meet individual needs, with a lifestyle that stresses convenience, leisure, and enjoying beauty in and around the living spaces. The property is owned by Omni Development Corporation as of June 2024. This all makes for a straightforward, well-fitted option for seniors who want choices and less stress in daily living without having to fuss over home maintenance or safety.
