    Great value, but cleanliness concerns

I loved the apartments - great location, wooded views, new appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, and friendly, knowledgeable staff (Ms. Louise and Ms. Diane were excellent); maintenance is usually prompt and the grounds and units are generally well kept. My biggest concerns were cleanliness and security: hallways and elevator smelled and looked dirty (carpet hadn't been cleaned in years), mailroom/AC is unreliable at night/weekends, back doors are often propped open and people smoke by the building, and I noticed signs of rodents. Overall it's a very good value and lovely community for 55+ seniors if you can tolerate the cleanliness/management issues.
