    About Oak Valley

Oak Valley sits in the Westwood Heights neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska, and offers senior apartments, assisted living, memory care, nursing homes, independent living, and residential care home services, which is quite a spread of living options, you know, and it's aimed at folks aged at least 62 years, mostly who have very low incomes and might need Section 8 (202) housing or some other kind of HUD support, and the rent is set at about 30% of what each resident brings in monthly, which is a relief for some on fixed incomes, and the place is smoke-free throughout all indoor areas so nobody's lighting up indoors, but you'll see plenty of open green space and big, old trees that shade the grounds and there's even a picnic area where folks gather in the nice weather. Oak Valley Apartments, that's what they call the main building, gives people homey one-bedroom places, with updated kitchens, ample closet space, bathrooms with safety bars, ceiling fans, window coverings, and utilities like electricity, water, air conditioning, and garbage all wrapped into the rent, and if someone needs help getting around, they've put in elevators and made doorways wide enough for wheelchairs, plus there's a controlled-entry intercom at the door so only the right people come inside. Pets are welcome, too, with certain rules, and you'll see resident parking right on-site, and the shared laundry, a community room with a kitchen for gatherings, and mail delivered right to the building, with staff called Senior Living Advisors always ready to give information or help out with whatever folks need, be it getting around, finding services, or just figuring out daily life.

There's a full slate of onsite activities, both indoors and outside, which help folks meet each other, stay active, and maybe pick up a new hobby or two, and they keep the calendar filled with social, educational, and fun events that make quality of life a real goal instead of a buzzword. Meals get provided, beauty and barber services are onsite, and those who want nearby restaurants or shops don't have far to go because Oak Valley's within walking distance of lots of those, plus there's a bus stop nearby and they take online payments if that makes things easier for some. There's fast internet from Cox Gigablast in every unit, and the place stays focused on health and independence, bringing care and resources to meet different needs but encouraging folks to do what they can for themselves, and if someone needs a higher level of care or wants to try out another kind of living in the area, there's access to more assisted living options nearby, with Medicaid sometimes accepted depending on the type of support needed.

Safety features like fire alarms and smoke detectors, and the building has accessible units for those who need them, and there are clear policies about who can live there, with at least some places set aside for women only, and everyone is at least 62, since Medicare doesn't cover senior apartments and medical care isn't on hand, but it's close to hospitals, rehab centers, and lots of other Omaha resources, which gives peace of mind. With fifty-one total apartments, Oak Valley is sized so neighbors can get to know each other but not so big you feel lost in a crowd, and the review process checks that all feedback comes from true residents or their families, which is why that 5.0-star rating comes from real experience, and the staff, friendly and trained, always seems to know how to make folks feel welcome. Oak Valley's newsletter mentions meaningful living, where everyone can pitch in and help shape community life, and they stick to simple joys-good food, good company, and a comfortable place to call home, with options for support as needs change over time, and a steady commitment to keeping things affordable, safe, and easy to manage as the years roll by.
