    Caring staff, clean homey facility

I placed a family member here and have been very pleased: the staff are caring, personable and professional, nurses and CNAs are attentive, and the facility feels homey with a lovely sunroom, courtyard and nature views. Meals are delicious, activities and in-house rehab are excellent, and the building is clean and welcoming - I'd recommend visiting.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews indicate a facility with many strengths around interpersonal care, rehabilitation, and resident engagement, alongside operational inconsistencies that warrant attention. Positive comments emphasize compassionate, family-like staff, active therapy and activities programs, regular meal service, and a welcoming physical environment. At the same time, multiple reviewers described service variability that affects timeliness, communication, and certain aspects of day-to-day care.

Care and staff: Many reviewers described attentive and compassionate nurses and aides who create a family-like atmosphere and who support residents' daily personal care. Rehabilitation and therapy services are frequently characterized as robust and encouraging, and several families highlighted supportive transition assistance during admissions. However, concerns were raised about inconsistent staffing levels and resulting delays in assistance. There are also recurring notes about problematic staff conduct and communication tone in isolated instances, plus operational gaps such as resident-identification process weaknesses. Families should weigh the positive interpersonal reports against these consistency and conduct issues when considering placement.

Dining and cleanliness: Meal service is generally described as provided and acceptable, and reviewers cited routine dining availability. Conversely, there are sanitation and cleanliness inconsistencies reported, including lapses tied to mealtimes and personal-care follow-up. These comments suggest variability in how housekeeping and care-linkage tasks are completed across shifts.

Activities and therapy: Activity programming and social engagement are clear strengths. Reviewers repeatedly praised an engaging activities schedule and effective rehab services that encourage participation and progress. These offerings appear to contribute positively to resident quality of life and are a notable reason families recommend the facility.

Facilities and management: The building and common areas are often described as welcoming and well-maintained. Several reviewers noted positive changes under new ownership or active administration, including improved staff morale and visible leadership presence. At the same time, reviewers described operational variability during ownership or staffing transitions, and some found visitor access to be restrictive. There are also references to equity and cultural-sensitivity concerns that families may want to address directly with management.

Notable patterns and recommendations: The pattern across reviews is one of strong relational care and programming offset by episodic operational weaknesses—particularly around staffing consistency, timeliness of assistance, family communication after incidents, resident identification procedures, sanitation practices, and visitation policies. Prospective residents and families should tour during activity periods, observe staff–resident interactions, ask about current staffing ratios and shift coverage, inquire about incident notification protocols and resident-identification safeguards, clarify visitation policies, and request information about cultural-sensitivity training and quality-improvement efforts. Doing so will help assess whether the facility's positive attributes align with the family’s priorities and whether management is actively addressing the operational concerns noted by reviewers.
