    Outstanding wound care, attentive staff

I stayed here for wound care and received excellent full nursing care - my wound healed and the therapy/physical therapy team helped a lot. The staff, especially Irma, were competent, attentive and never rushed; I kept my independence and ability to self-care. My private room was spacious, clean with daily housekeeping, the food was good, and the place was quiet and uncrowded. I highly recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews portray a facility with a mix of clear strengths and recurring operational weaknesses. Positive comments emphasize private, spacious rooms, routine housekeeping, and a generally quiet, uncrowded environment that supports resident independence and self-care. Several families and residents specifically praised the therapy team and wound-care outcomes, and individual caregivers were singled out for attentive assistance; those experiences suggest pockets of reliable clinical skill and individualized attention within the facility.

At the same time, there are consistent concerns about staffing and responsiveness. Reviewers described delays in attending to residents, uneven availability of staff, and overall understaffing that appears to affect routine supervision and timely completion of tasks. These patterns are associated with complaints about medication-management practices, laundry and supply delays, and occasions when care plans were not regularly updated or followed. When clinical needs are complex—such as with dementia care or non–weight-bearing mobility restrictions—several accounts indicate inconsistent adherence to care instructions and gaps in coordination between nursing and therapy teams.

Dining and ancillary services show variability. Some residents reported satisfactory meals and dining experiences, while others described unacceptable meal quality and repeated allergen errors. This suggests variability in dining execution and meal-allergen control. Laundry turnaround and supply management were also flagged as operational weaknesses by families who needed to provide extra supplies or remain with loved ones to ensure adequate attention.

Sanitation and infection-prevention concerns were raised in connection with specific care tasks and housekeeping processes; while not universal, these descriptions indicate areas where infection-control practices and oversight may need strengthening. Management and family communication also surface as recurring themes: several families reported unresolved concerns and dissatisfaction with staff tone or responsiveness, while others highlighted individual staff who provided excellent care and communication. There are also notes about access limitations to therapy tied to payer or regulatory constraints, which can affect residents’ rehabilitation plans independently of the facility’s therapy staff competency.

In sum, the facility appears capable of providing competent clinical services—particularly in physical therapy and wound care—and offers a residential environment that some families find supportive. However, operational challenges tied to staffing levels, care coordination, medication processes, dining consistency, and sanitation oversight have been repeatedly noted and appear to drive the most significant family concerns. Prospective residents and families would benefit from in-person assessment of staff-to-resident ratios, care-plan oversight, dining procedures, and the facility’s approach to dementia care and infection-prevention before placement. Asking about specific policies for medication administration, laundry turnaround, interdisciplinary care meetings, and payer-related therapy restrictions may clarify whether the facility’s strengths will meet an individual resident’s needs.
