    Compassionate spotless home with hospice

I placed my loved one in this small, spotless home and felt immediate relief - the staff (especially Ria) were caring, intelligent and patient, communication was responsive, and their strong medical knowledge and seamless hospice coordination gave us true peace of mind. Meals were healthy and appropriate, the room and kitchen were bright and immaculate, and care honestly felt like family. One caveat: confirm your loved one's exact needs up front - I was told of a case where the facility couldn't provide a higher level of care and billing/refund issues arose. Overall, I highly recommend this compassionate, top-notch home.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Dhaniella's Care Home is strongly positive, with many families emphasizing compassionate, family-like care, attentive staff, and a clean, well-run home. Multiple reviewers specifically praise the owner as kind and gentle and describe staff as patient, intelligent, and hardworking. The facility is frequently credited with providing peace of mind to families through responsive communication, regular updates, and a clear team approach to resident care. Several reviewers explicitly state strong recommendations and recount uninterrupted quality of care over extended periods (including a specific note of no bedsores in three years).

Staff and clinical capabilities are recurring strengths in the reviews. Reviewers highlight strong medical knowledge among the team, careful and thoughtful caregiving decisions (one caregiver named Ria is singled out positively), and effective coordination with hospice providers. Hospice care is described as top-notch and seamlessly integrated with the home's services, and staff are credited with helping arrange hospice and funeral services when needed. Families report that the staff are communicative and responsive, which contributes to trust and a sense of reliability.

Facilities, cleanliness, and dining also appear to be consistent strengths. The home is repeatedly described as spotless — including the kitchen — with clean, bright resident rooms. Meals are described as healthy and appropriately portioned for patients’ needs. Reviewers emphasize a peaceful environment and competent caregivers who attend to hygiene and skin care needs; multiple mentions of no bedsores over long periods support that claim. The small, home-like setting (noted in reviews as a 4-room/5-bed facility with about six residents) is cited as contributing to personal attention and close interaction.

Operational details and location are noted positively: the home is described as centrally located, close to the 110 Freeway, making visits convenient for families. The staffing model includes a live-in residential manager or on-site caretaker, and reviewers mention RN coverage provided (for example, the owner’s sister covering vacations), which families find reassuring. Initial intake and assessment are described as thorough, suggesting care plans are individualized.

However, there is a serious adverse report that contrasts with the otherwise positive consensus. One review states the facility could not provide the required level of care for a resident, leading to a 911 hospitalization. That same reviewer reports that the facility did not refund the monthly fee (cited as $3,200) after discharge and expresses a perception that the family was exploited while vulnerable. This is a notable outlier and raises concerns about care capability for higher-acuity needs and clarity of financial and discharge policies. Because this is a single but grave complaint, prospective families should verify that the home can meet the specific medical needs of their loved one before moving in and should carefully review admission agreements and refund/termination terms.

Recommendations based on the review themes: (1) For families considering Dhaniella’s Care Home, the strengths—compassionate staff, cleanliness, small home setting, hospice coordination, and good communication—make it well-suited for elders needing attentive, home-like assistance and end-of-life support. (2) Verify clinical capabilities and staffing against the resident’s anticipated acuity (ask about past situations requiring hospitalization and how they were handled). (3) Request a written copy of the contract that clarifies refund policies, emergency procedures, and what level of care is guaranteed. (4) Ask for references from current or recent families (several reviewers volunteered strong recommendations) and confirm RN coverage and back-up staffing plans. Overall, reviews paint Dhaniella’s Care Home as a caring, clean, and well-managed small facility with strong hospice coordination, but families should perform due diligence around high-acuity care needs and contractual terms given the single serious complaint.
