    Compassionate professional care and recovery

I had a very positive experience at Fountain View - Gigi was the rockstar problem-solver, tireless, cheerful and reassuring, and the social worker was incredibly helpful. Nurses, CNAs and respiratory techs were attentive, compassionate and professional, front-desk Lola was friendly and accommodating, and leadership/hospice collaborated well. The facility was clean, my loved one was treated with dignity and recovered quickly - I'm very grateful and highly recommend their caring team.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for Fountain View Subacute and Nursing are highly polarized, with clear accounts of both strong, compassionate caregivers and notable operational weaknesses. Positive comments focus on individual staff members and teams โ€” nurses, CNAs, respiratory therapists, and some social-work personnel receive repeated praise for empathy, responsiveness, and coordination with hospice services. Several accounts describe successful rehabilitations and supportive interactions that families valued. A few named staff members are singled out as effective problem-solvers who facilitated positive outcomes.

At the same time, a consistent set of facility-level concerns emerges. Many reviews describe inconsistent cleanliness and odor-control practices across the building, along with shared rooms that are perceived as overcrowded and offering limited privacy. Reviewers also flagged unreliable building systems and amenities, including nonfunctional televisions, poor internet and phone connectivity, and inconsistent climate control that can lead to uncomfortable room temperatures.

Clinical and care-quality themes include concerns about staffing levels and clinical responsiveness. Multiple accounts suggest high patient-to-staff ratios, frequent turnover, and specific understaffing on night shifts. These staffing constraints are linked in reviews to delays in repositioning and pressureโ€‘injury prevention, inconsistent assistance with eating and drinking, and perceived gaps in infection-control and wound-care processes. Therapy and clinical follow-through are described as uneven โ€” some residents make good progress while others experienced what families judged to be insufficient or ineffective therapy and care-plan implementation.

Management, communication, and safety processes are additional areas of concern. Reviewers describe administrative instability, limited accountability for ongoing complaints, and communication breakdowns between CNAs, nurses, and physicians. There are also descriptions of missing personal items and broader property-control weaknesses; given the seriousness of that claim, reviewers used language consistent with allegations of theft in a limited number of accounts. Families report variable discharge coordination and, in some cases, difficulty getting timely answers from leadership.

Dining, activities, and resident comfort receive mixed feedback. Several reviewers noted skimpy meal portions and limited entertainment options; TVs and common-area amenities are sometimes nonfunctional. Conversely, other families praised the attentiveness of staff who preserved dignity, provided compassionate end-of-life support, and created meaningful moments at the bedside.

In summary, Fountain View appears to offer strong, compassionate caregiving from many front-line staff members and has examples of effective clinical outcomes and hospice collaboration. However, recurring operational issues โ€” particularly inconsistent sanitation, overcrowded rooms, staffing shortfalls, gaps in clinical monitoring and infection-control practices, unreliable amenities, and administrative instability โ€” suggest variability in the resident experience. Prospective families should weigh the positive staff-level reports against these facility-level risks, verify current staffing ratios and infection-control policies, tour specific rooms to assess cleanliness and privacy, ask about security and property controls, and identify the facility contacts (for example, social-work staff) who will manage communication during a stay.
