    About Paradise

Paradise sits on Preuss Road in Los Angeles with room for up to six residents, and people there live in a normal house with a calm garden full of flowers, trees for shade, walking paths, and a soothing fountain, so it feels more like a home than a large facility, which some find comforting and peaceful. The staff includes 24-hour caregivers and there's a registered nurse on call who comes by now and then to address health questions, while medication's stored centrally, managed according to doctor's orders, and logged on site, so meds are dispensed safely and on schedule. You'll find a variety of services including help with bathing, dressing, and transfers, and staff also assist with other daily activities, so residents get as much or as little help as they need. Meals come three times a day, prepared by experienced chefs, and snacks are always available if someone's hungry between meals, with efforts made to accommodate special diets like diabetes or allergies, even for those with food restrictions.

If someone needs rehabilitation, home health aides as well as physical and occupational therapists can visit. Paradise specializes in care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's, and they provide disease-specific support and hospice care, with a nurse, LVN, or CNA able to visit when extra care's required, and when families need a temporary break, the facility also provides respite care for short-term stays. There's a well-organized medication management system, plus health care coordination with outside providers, and transportation can be arranged for doctor visits or trips out. Residents can choose to live in a private room, a private room with a bathroom, or a shared room, and they can use either house furniture or bring their own, depending on what makes them comfortable.

Paradise includes a dining room, activity centers, and an on-site library with books, puzzles, cards, and games, while cable TV with over 100 channels, phone access, and unlimited WIFI let residents stay connected and entertained. Social life's important here too, so people can join group activities like weekly live music, movie nights, bingo days, daily exercise, wellness programs, and outings, and scheduled transportation supports this as well. Housekeeping, laundry, and light cleaning are included, and care teams work round the clock in coordination with wellness programs and emergency response systems for safety. Paradise is licensed by the state of California as both an Assisted Living and Residential Care/Board & Care facility, supporting both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents, and welcomes people who qualify for VA benefits and those in attendance programs, so the services go well beyond just housing. The whole place's designed to support residents who want a little help, a lot of care, or a place to recover for a while, all inside a regular neighborhood setting.
