    Caring staff restored mother's health

I placed my mother in this small, sunny, home-like residence and was very satisfied with the friendly, caring staff-especially Helen and Vicky-who treated her like family. The house was clean, service consistent, personal/cosmetic care was excellent, and Mom gained weight and a new lease on life; I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Better Living Care Home is a small, private residential facility with a maximum of six residents. The facility is consistently described as home-like, with a sunny, open layout and clean interior spaces. Families commonly emphasize close, individualized attention that comes with a small setting; in several instances this care correlated with measurable resident improvements such as weight gain and increased engagement.

Care and staffing are the most frequently noted strengths. Caregivers are described as compassionate, respectful, patient, and attentive; named staff members were singled out for providing high-touch support. The home also receives positive comments about comfort-focused and end-of-life care, and staff willingness to provide personal grooming and cosmetic attention as part of resident dignity and quality of life. Consistent caregiver assignments appear to foster strong, trusting relationships between residents, staff, and families.

There are operational limitations tied to the facility’s small scale. Limited bed availability constrains admission options and can make placement challenging. The home’s proximity to a roadway produces noise in some rooms, which prospective residents should assess during a visit. A small number of remarks suggest variability in staff engagement or greeting practices, indicating that interpersonal consistency can fluctuate. Additionally, several comments raised questions about the home’s capacity to manage residents with greater physical-dependency needs; families should evaluate whether the staffing model and caregiver physical capacity meet higher-acuity care requirements.

Management presence is described as pleasant and approachable, and the business is characterized as established with consistent service overall. Prospective residents and families are advised to tour the home, inspect potential rooms for sound exposure, discuss staffing patterns and caregiver assignment consistency, and clarify the facility’s experience with higher-dependency care before making a placement decision.
