    Warm professional small home care

I placed my mom here and was very pleased: a beautiful, homey country house with lots of windows and natural light, a small 6-bed community that felt peaceful and clean. The owner - an involved nurse with a heart of gold - leads a warm, professional staff who communicated excellently, caught medical issues early (even UTIs) and provided compassionate care through her final days; no COVID cases were reported. Visitors had a positive impression, it's long-standing and popular for good reason, and I would recommend this welcoming place.

    Summary of reviews

All Seasons Residential Care is portrayed as a small, long-established memory-support or residential care home with a strong emphasis on individualized, compassionate care. Families frequently describe staff as attentive and welcoming, and reviewers consistently note the hands-on involvement of the owner, who is a nurse. That clinical engagement appears to translate into proactive monitoring of residents' health and regular communication with families; reviewers cite examples of staff observing changes and notifying relatives promptly. Several families highlighted supportive end-of-life care and described the facility as providing a peaceful, dignified final phase for residents.

The facility's physical environment and community scale are commonly noted positives. The property is described as attractive, country-like, and bright with natural light; reviewers emphasize a homey, warm atmosphere and a small, quiet six-bedroom community that encourages participation and close social ties. Common areas and the overall property receive favorable comments for cleanliness and upkeep, contributing to a residential rather than institutional feel. The home's small size also appears to foster a tight-knit community and individualized attention.

Areas for improvement are mostly operational. Limited capacity and an active waitlist reflect the facility's popularity but also restrict immediate placement options; reviewers specifically noted constrained male-bed availability. Several comments point to variability in interior room organization and occasional cluttered personal spaces, suggesting inconsistent housekeeping or room-preparation practices. There are a few mentions implying uneven staff professional appearance and supervisory oversight (for example, instances of caregivers not wearing shoes), which suggests a need for clearer dress-standards and supervisory checks. Dining impressions are mixed: some families describe residents as well fed and encouraged to join communal meals, while other accounts indicate a lack of clarity about meal planning or service, which could benefit from improved documentation and family-facing communication.

Clinical scope and resident match are additional themes. While the nurse-owner’s involvement supports clinical monitoring, reviewers indicate the home may not suit residents with higher-dependency needs; a few families found the level of care insufficient for their relative’s needs. Prospective families should assess clinical requirements against the home's staffing and services to ensure an appropriate fit. In sum, All Seasons appears to offer a caring, family-oriented environment with strong management engagement and a homelike setting, but prospective residents and families should confirm bed availability, gender-specific accommodations, room-condition policies, staff standards, and the facility's ability to meet higher-level care needs before placement.

    About All Seasons Residential Care

All Seasons Residential Care sits on 3.5 acres of countryside in West Sonoma County with apple orchards and local wildlife, offering a quiet, home-like place for up to six residents who can't live alone anymore, and because it's a purpose-built care facility, not a converted home, people find it has wide, sun-filled rooms, bright and cheerful spaces, and private or shared rooms that all open onto scenic patios thanks to the 8-foot sliding doors-so there's lots of natural light and fresh air, and there's a garden, sun decks, walking paths, and even a place where residents can bring a cat or dog. This care home goes by other names in some places-Adult Foster Homes, Personal Care Homes, or Assisted Living Homes-but licensed as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly in California (License #490106870), it stays small, only six people, which means everyone gets plenty of attention from the experienced staff and qualified caregivers who provide around-the-clock supervision, help with personal care like bathing, dressing, incontinence care, and assisted transfers, even using a mechanical lift if needed. Residents get three home-cooked meals each day, including breakfasts made to order and snacks, with options for special dietary needs such as diabetes diets, allergies, or low-sugar meals, and the whole house eats together if they want to, plus staff help with medication management and work with healthcare providers since visiting nurses, therapists, and a podiatrist come in to make sure folks stay as healthy as possible. Families with loved ones at All Seasons often come for the annual Thanksgiving dinner, while the staff host daily activities, crafts, movie nights, and memory care programs, and each resident can personalize their space-even bring in plants for the patio-for that real "this is my home" feeling, and pets are welcome with approval, which not all homes allow. The facility offers transportation for appointments and shopping, has on- and off-site activities, and even arranges trips to the beauty parlor, while the setting lets folks enjoy the outdoors but stay safe and supervised, and there's an emergency alert system for peace of mind. Someone looking for a quieter, smaller, safe place, with just six rooms all on the countryside, whether needing medium or light care, memory care, or help with diabetes or behavioral issues, would find it gentle and steady, and they say tours are welcomed every day between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, so people can come see for themselves how things feel, and with private and semi-private rooms, visiting hours every day, long-term local staff, and a snug, bright country setting, All Seasons Residential Care stays focused on giving each resident a safe and personal living experience as their care needs change over time, letting them age in place even if they need more help as years go by.
