Khan Care Gardens, Inc. is a licensed nonprofit adult residential care home with six licensed beds, sitting inside the Beach Cities Health District campus at 19206 Entradero Ave in Torrance, California. The place offers a range of care services, with assisted living, board and care home, independent living, memory care, skilled nursing, and respite care for temporary stays, so people can pick the type of support that fits their needs. The care team gives help with daily activities, medicine management, personal care, meals, and incontinence care, and they're always on hand with 24-hour nursing and medical care, including support for rehabilitation and wound care. For those with Alzheimer's and dementia, Khan Care has specialized memory care programs, safe and secure areas, cognitive and memory-stimulating activities, and personalized support focused on keeping each person comfortable and engaged, and there's support available for mental health or hospice needs too. Residents can find resort-style amenities in the independent living options, with social activities, community pets, and spaces for staying active both physically and socially, plus a trusted home environment, which gives a safe and steady place for people with a wide range of needs. The community sits close to all sorts of things-three theaters for cultural outings, a place of worship for spiritual needs, twenty restaurants with lots of choices, and six parks for walking or fresh air, and there are also three nearby physicians, twenty-six local pharmacies, and a good handful of cafes. Community reviews hover at scores like 9.0 and 8.5, pointing to a generally positive response from families. The home stays focused on treating each resident as an individual, using unique programs and special features designed for different care needs, and while there's not much public information out there about them, they seem committed to patient well-being and careful, compassionate support for seniors.
Good facility but poor communication
I appreciated that the facility appears very good and compliant with state, city, and county agencies, but my experience was marred by a locked front gate, unanswered calls, poor communication from staff and management, and concerns about staff qualifications. I would not recommend this place to families.
