    Compassionate staff, bright clean home

I chose this small, serene senior home and couldn't be happier - the owner/manager and staff are wonderfully compassionate, provide 24-hour, hospice-friendly care, and made our transition easy. My loved one had a large private room, loved the meals (they gladly handled a pureed diet), and the place is clean, bright, homey with engaging activities and a lovely patio. The team communicated supportively after my mom passed; I'm grateful and highly recommend visiting to meet the caring staff.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing compassionate, attentive care and a comforting, home-like atmosphere. Care quality is frequently highlighted: the facility is described as hospice-friendly, offers 24-hour care, and is willing to accommodate specific needs such as pureed diets. Families reported supportive communication from staff during difficult times (including after a passing), suggesting the community prioritizes both clinical needs and emotional support for residents and their loved ones.

Staffing and management receive consistently high praise. Reviewers call out compassionate caregivers, a supportive owner/manager, and staff who speak the residents' languages—attributes that appear to make transitions easier and help residents feel at home. Several accounts recommend visiting the facility and meeting the staff, underscoring that personal interactions with caregivers were a deciding factor for many families. One reviewer explicitly named the community a “top contender” for a parent, which reinforces the view that the staff and leadership inspire confidence.

Facility and environment impressions are uniformly favorable. Multiple summaries mention a clean, bright, and serene setting with a fresh smell; residents are characterized as content. The community is described as homey and comfortable, with communal touches like a piano in the living area and a pleasant patio for outdoor enjoyment. Room accommodations include large private rooms, and reviewers noted that care is included in the cost, which some families found valuable. The overall cleanliness and upkeep are strong recurring themes.

Dining and activities are noted as strengths. Several reviewers praised the meals—residents “loved” the food—and the dining experience; one account specifically notes that the loved one delighted in the meals. Activities are described as engaging, contributing to resident satisfaction and the perception of an active, social environment.

Patterns and notable considerations: nearly all feedback is positive, emphasizing compassionate care, clean and bright facilities, enjoyable dining, and responsive staff and management. One point of variability is facility size: most reviewers describe the Sanctuary as small, homey, or a small community, but at least one review indicated the community felt larger than desired. This suggests that perceptions of scale may differ by which part of the campus guests see or by individual expectations. Another pattern is the scarcity of negative or critical comments; while this is encouraging, it does mean there is limited information about potential weaknesses (e.g., wait times, cost specifics, clinical complexity handling beyond hospice, or long-term staffing consistency).

Recommendation based on the reviews: The Sanctuary appears to excel in personalized, compassionate care, a clean and home-like environment, pleasurable dining, and attentive staff and management. Prospective families should arrange an in-person tour, meet the caregiving team, and confirm specifics that matter to them (room options, language needs, clinical capabilities beyond hospice if relevant) to ensure the facility’s size, services, and atmosphere match their expectations. Overall, the reviews portray a well-run, caring community that many families would recommend. }ailability of the content.
