    Beautiful community with superb amenities

I moved into this beautiful, brand-new community and I'm very pleased - lovely apartments with Pikes Peak views, superb healthy meals across several dining venues, and exceptional chefs. The staff and residents are warm and accommodating; front-desk treats, biweekly housekeeping with sheet washing, and transportation to appointments make life easy. A wealth of activities - gyms, pools, therapy, book club, discussion groups, clubs and frequent outings - offers an all-in-one lifestyle. Highly recommended.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Feedback indicates Aberdeen Ridge is a newly built, amenity-rich community that many find attractive. Strengths repeatedly cited include high-quality, varied dining across multiple venues, a strong culinary team, robust wellness and recreational programming, and a broad set of on-site amenities (gyms, pools, therapy). Reviewers emphasize friendly, accommodating staff and an active resident culture with discussion groups, book clubs, men’s and women’s groups, and frequent outings. The campus environment and scenic views are also noted positively, as is a smooth move-in experience for early residents. Care and staff Comments about staff are largely favorable: interactions are described as personable and helpful, with front-desk hospitality called out specifically. These impressions suggest a customer-focused culture and attentive hospitality staff. The materials provided do not allow a detailed assessment of clinical-care quality; however, staff responsiveness and friendliness are presented as consistent strengths in everyday interactions and resident services. Dining and activities Dining is a clear highlight: reviewers reference exceptional chefs, healthy and well-presented meals, and multiple dining options that support resident choice. Programming is comprehensive, spanning wellness classes, therapy offerings, book and discussion groups, social clubs, and scheduled outings. Transportation to appointments and frequent off-site activities contribute to an “all-in-one” lifestyle that many prospective residents and families find appealing. Facilities and operations The physical campus is described as modern and thoughtfully equipped, with fitness and therapy spaces and pet-friendly policies. Housekeeping for apartments (including biweekly cleaning and linen service) is noted as a convenience. At the same time, operational weaknesses emerge around building systems and facility management. Specific issues imply unreliable access-control and egress procedures that could affect emergency exits and timely departures. There are also mentions of inconsistent cleaning or floor-safety practices in some common areas, which may warrant clarification of housekeeping schedules and safety checks. Management, policies, and notable patterns Concerns appear around admissions and financial procedures: long waitlist timelines and questions about deposit and contract transparency are repeated themes. There is also feedback indicating unclear or inconsistent communication about the facility’s operational status during service interruptions. Taken together, these items suggest prospective residents should seek detailed, written information about deposits, expected wait times, and the community’s communication protocols during interruptions or transitions. Recommendations for prospective residents and families Prospective residents should verify emergency-access protocols and ask how access-control systems function in practice, including staff procedures for assisted exit and emergency egress. Request written details on housekeeping frequency for common areas and restroom safety checks. Review contract and deposit terms carefully and ask for expected waitlist timelines and refund/transfer policies. Finally, tour multiple dining venues, attend a sample activity if possible, and speak directly with current residents about daily life to balance the favorable hospitality and programming reports against the operational concerns noted above.

    About Aberdeen Ridge

Aberdeen Ridge sits on 26.5 acres near Garden of the Gods, giving people wide views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains, and you can see right off the bat they've put thought into how they help older adults find the right level of support, whether that's independent living, assisted living, memory care, or even skilled nursing for when health changes happen. The community is faith-based and run by Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, which has over 75 years of experience with senior living, and they're connected with the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, so people looking for respected, not-for-profit care might find that important. Aberdeen Ridge offers a Life Plan Community set-up, which means seniors can move between services as they need-like living on their own while healthy, getting help later with daily needs, or moving to memory care or skilled nursing if life turns that direction. Staff provides care at all hours, with help for things like bathing, dressing, medicine, and close supervision for those who need it, and residents have a responsive call system for safety. Aberdeen Ridge puts time into programs such as Music & Memory, with certified dementia care professionals on hand, and tries to keep life busy with events, guest speakers, and series like Art Is Ageless® and Peak Living Wellness, which some people will enjoy. They offer some unique touches, like affordable housing toolkits and resources from the POAMN Older Adult Ministry Guide, and there are disaster recovery resources in place for peace of mind. Aberdeen Ridge is the only not-for-profit Life Plan Community in Colorado Springs, which will matter to some, and since there's a licensed skilled nursing facility on-site, people can stay in the same place as their care needs grow. There are several apartment floor plans, gardens and trails, fine dining, and activity spaces for residents who want a vibrant independent living scene or those who just want quiet comfort. Aberdeen Ridge is close to Denver and set among parks, trails, farmers' markets, and arts festivals, which gives families extra things to do. The facility is recognized as a verified community with good scores for neighborhood safety and livability, and they maintain high-quality care standards. For people needing extra care or just wanting a safe and active place to live as they age, Aberdeen Ridge provides many options and resources.
