    Compassionate staff and excellent care

I'm very pleased with the care my father received-attentive, compassionate nurses, aides and social workers, and physical therapists who went above and beyond to help him regain strength and hobbies. The accessible apartments, active recreation/virtual visits, responsive administration, and clean, welcoming atmosphere made staff feel like family. I'd choose this place for long-term care and gladly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Skyview Center elicits a mixed but distinct pattern of feedback. Many families and residents praise the caregiving and therapy teams for compassionate, personalized attention and measurable rehabilitation progress. Reviewers frequently highlight skilled physical therapy, dedicated nurses and aides, and staff who develop familiar, long-term relationships with residents. The facility is also commended for accessible, barrierโ€‘free apartments, a generally clean and welcoming atmosphere, active recreation programs, and the availability of virtual visits to keep families connected.

At the same time, several substantive operational concerns recur. The most serious relate to clinical safety and responsiveness: reviewers describe medication-administration errors, delayed attention to acute medical changes, and problematic coordination of emergency transfers. These comments suggest gaps in medication management procedures, handoff practices, and emergency-response coordination that prospective families should review in detail with leadership.

Staffing and leadership present a mixed picture. Many accounts praise individual caregivers, therapists, and admissions staff as professional and attentive. Conversely, others identify inconsistent staff training, professional conduct issues (including concerns about communication tone during meetings and interactions), and notable administrative turnover. These patterns point to variability in dayโ€‘toโ€‘day supervision and leadership consistency rather than uniformly poor or uniformly excellent management.

Dining and activities are generally positive but uneven. Several reviewers enjoyed the food and credited therapy and recreation staff with contributing to residents' morale and recovery; others noted occasional kitchen-quality issues. Activity programming and motivated therapists were specifically associated with improved functional outcomes and resident engagement.

Facility upkeep is another mixed area. While many describe the environment as clean and comfortable, complaints about specific maintenance issues โ€” such as window leaks, frequent room relocations, and pest-control concerns in some units โ€” were raised. Communication and logistics also show variability: families reported difficulties with phone responsiveness, scheduling visits or transfers, and coordinating with social-work or administrative staff at times.

Taken together, Skyview Center appears to offer strong rehabilitative care and a caring staff culture in many instances, but with operational inconsistencies that can affect safety, maintenance, and family communication. Prospective residents and their families would benefit from an in-person tour, direct conversations with nursing leadership about medicationโ€‘safety protocols and emergency procedures, review of recent inspection or quality metrics, and clarification of how management addresses staffing continuity and maintenance requests.

This place takes care of complex patients, has both Short-Stay Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care, and looks after people who need skilled nursing, wound management, pain control, dialysis, or ventilator care. There's a clinic where physicians work, and the rehabilitation team doesn't just help inside-residents can practice walking outside on the hills and learn how to get around different places safely. Skyview Center looks after folks who need help with memory, too, because there's a special Alzheimer's care program, and there's a Transitional Care Unit for people who need extra support moving from hospital to home. Residents can join specialty programs and enjoy activities like the "Jazz Under the Stars" events, which let everyone visit and talk outside in the evening, and there's inter-generational work with local kids and neighbors, which keeps things lively for people of any age. Staff stay on all day and night, making sure families can visit whenever they want, and the building has accessibility features to help them get around. The center's known for having a patient-centered way about it, aiming to help everyone keep a good quality of life, and the staff keep things respectful and caring. The place has won the Bronze National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living, and if you want to see what it looks like you can take a virtual tour. Skyview Center uses Meta AI and Meta Quest technology, lets visitors log in with Facebook or other Meta platforms, and works with local groups to help people find housing, services, and community support. The company is privately held, employs about 51 to 200 people, and keeps its doors open 24 hours, every day, providing short and long-term stay options and a range of healthcare and social services for older adults.
