    Warm home but severe neglect

I appreciated the warm, clean, well-organized home on my visit, but serious issues marred the stay. Staff were unclear about next steps, my family member was left extremely dehydrated and not given food or fluids, personal medical equipment was refused, and I had to involve police to retrieve belongings. We were charged $2,600 for three days with no refund; the exterior is unkempt and there's nowhere for residents to go out-recommend with caution.

    Summary of reviews

Overview: The reviews describe a facility that presents as a warm, organized, and clean home on initial visit, but also raise several operational and clinical concerns. Positive impressions relate primarily to the interior environment and how the residence is organized for visitors. However, multiple accounts point to deficiencies in basic care processes, administrative transparency, and post-admission or discharge handling.

Care and staff: There are significant concerns about basic-care monitoring and responsiveness, specifically around ensuring residents receive adequate fluids and assistance with feeding. These concerns suggest gaps in routine clinical oversight and documentation rather than isolated décor or hospitality issues. At the same time, visitors experienced a welcoming atmosphere during in-person visits, indicating that front-line interactions can be positive; the contrast suggests variability in staff performance or in how duties are prioritized across shifts.

Dining and activities: The accounts imply inconsistent support related to dining assistance rather than a problem with food quality per se; difficulty accessing timely feeding or fluid support is the primary issue. Activity-related comments are limited but note a lack of usable outdoor areas and few options for residents to spend time outside, which could affect opportunities for engagement and safe outdoor recreation.

Facilities: Internally the home is described as clean and organized, which is a clear strength for the living environment. Externally, reviewers noted maintenance shortcomings and a lack of designated outdoor spaces for residents. These contrasts indicate that while interior housekeeping and room organization may be well managed, grounds maintenance and amenity planning for outdoor use are weaker.

Management and administration: Several operational issues center on communication and financial practices. Reviewers described unclear guidance about next steps after visits or transitions, and at least one account involved a contested short-stay charge and a forceful retrieval of belongings, suggesting problems with billing transparency and conflict resolution. There are also reports that the facility declined to provide or coordinate residents' personal medical equipment, pointing to gaps in equipment logistics or policies.

Notable patterns and considerations for families: The pattern across comments is one of a facility that can offer a pleasant physical environment and organized day-to-day routines, yet may struggle with consistent clinical monitoring, equipment coordination, clear administrative communication, and dispute handling. Prospective residents and families should seek detailed written policies on hydration and feeding assistance, medical-equipment support, billing and refund practices, and discharge/transfer procedures. They may also want to confirm outdoor access and grounds maintenance standards and ask for references about staff responsiveness during different shifts.
