    Warm staff, spotless apartment, family

I chose this community for my mom and I'm very pleased - the staff (Patsy, Rachel, Scott, Courtney and team) are warm, responsive and go above and beyond. Her roomy private apartment is spotless with a kitchenette and bath, meals are healthy with choices, activities are plentiful, care levels were adjusted as needed, and staff even arranged transportation for a special occasion; residents genuinely feel like family so I'm comfortable recommending this place.

    Summary of reviews

Angels Senior Living at Connerton Court presents as a new, well-appointed assisted living community with a hotel-like layout that many families find attractive. The physical plant and public areas are frequently described as clean, modern, and well maintained. Private apartment options with kitchenettes and private bathrooms, accessible outdoor spaces, and a resort-style atmosphere are recurring positives. Move-in and transition support received consistent praise from families who described the process as smooth and organized.

Staffing and direct care are the most polarized aspects in the reviews. Numerous accounts describe caregiving staff as compassionate, engaged, and willing to go above and beyond; individual staff and activities leaders were frequently named and praised for relationship-building and resident engagement. At the same time, there are repeated operational concerns about staffing consistency, particularly overnight coverage and during periods when the facility is still staffing up. These gaps are linked to delays in responding to residents, variability in staff skill levels, and inconsistent follow-through on clinical needs.

Clinical and safety patterns merit particular scrutiny. Reviewers raised consistent concerns about medication management practices (timing, administration, and documentation), and noted that there is no on-site primary-care physician and few regularly visiting specialists, which requires families to coordinate external appointments and transport. Transportation options were described as limited for residents with mobility needs and not always suitable for off-site medical visits. Privacy and access-control weaknesses were also cited, including unsecured reception periods and visitor/exit-code issues. Several comments flagged sanitation and odor concerns within portions of the memory-care unit, indicating inconsistencies in environmental control and housekeeping within specific areas.

Dining and activities received mixed but informative feedback. Many families praised the daily activity offerings, social events, and a strong activities director that encourages resident participation. Meal service is a divided area: some reviewers report restaurant-style dining, good portions, and accommodating kitchen staff, while others describe inconsistent menu adherence, limited healthy or diabetic-friendly options, and meal-quality variability tied to kitchen turnover. Management has indicated ongoing food-and-beverage improvements; prospective residents should verify current menu options and dietary accommodations during a visit.

Management and administrative performance show both strengths and issues. Leadership accessibility and problem-solving were highlighted in a number of reviews (including after-hours director availability and assistance arranging medical equipment). Conversely, other families described inconsistent communication, delayed follow-up on concerns, and differing impressions of administrative responsiveness. There are also financial considerations: some reviewers view the community as good value, while others cited high fees and a substantial non-refundable move-in charge that may affect decision-making.

Notable patterns for families to consider when evaluating this community: verify current staffing levels (including overnight coverage), review medication-administration protocols and documentation, confirm transportation capabilities for medical appointments, inspect memory-care housekeeping and odor control practices, ask about on-site medical services and visiting specialists, and clarify fee structure and refundability. Additionally, confirm security and visitor-access procedures and inquire about the facility’s incident-reporting and personal-property handling processes. Overall, the facility offers strong physical amenities and a lively activity program with many examples of dedicated staff; however, operational inconsistencies in clinical oversight, staffing, dining continuity, and privacy/security controls are recurring themes that warrant direct inquiry and monitoring by prospective residents and families.
