Moving here was the right choice - the staff are professional, warm, and attentive, with Jessica Petersen and leadership especially responsive. The community is clean and well-maintained, with large updated apartments, nice views, good meals, and engaging activities that make it feel like home. New ownership has brought positive changes; I feel safe, supported, and would recommend this place.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews present a mixed but largely positive picture with strong emphasis on the quality of direct care and community life. The most frequent commendations highlight attentive, compassionate staff, a resident-centered leadership approach, and continuity of caregivers; several accounts single out administrators by name and describe staff who know residents personally. Many families note that residents settled in well, feel secure, and enjoy engaging activities and social opportunities. Physical features that recur positively are large apartments, multiple communal lounges, a deck with river views, and ongoing interior updates that have improved the living environment.

Care quality receives generally favorable comments: reviewers describe professional, caring nursing and assistance with medications and grooming, and several emphasize that medication management is handled safely. Staff responsiveness and a warm, family-like atmosphere are cited as strengths that support residents’ quality of life. At the same time, a subset of reviewers raised concerns about staff conduct and responsiveness; these concerns range from communication tone to more serious allegations of inappropriate conduct. Additionally, payroll and pay-related problems have been noted and are described as affecting staff morale and stability—an operational challenge that can influence continuity of care.

Dining and activities are commonly identified as positives: many residents and families praise meals and the variety of programming. However, dining experience appears inconsistent across reviewers. Some note good meals and enjoyable dining, while others describe interruptions in service, poor food quality at times, and odor concerns in dining or common areas. Activities and social programming are generally characterized as engaging and helpful for resident adjustment.

Facility condition is described with two contrasting themes. Several reviewers report clean, updated, well-maintained spaces and appreciate recent renovations; others call out sanitation issues, pest-control concerns, and lingering odors in certain areas. The building’s age and the presence of both updated and older sections suggest variability in maintenance and unit condition across the community.

Management and operations show signs of transition. New ownership and leadership changes are credited with positive improvements by many families, and some reviewers explicitly praise recent management initiatives. Conversely, comments about cash-flow difficulties, late payroll, mismanagement, and gaps in communication indicate operational instability that has affected staff and family confidence in some cases. Given these mixed signals, prospective residents and families would benefit from direct, current verification of corrective actions: ask about pest-control measures and sanitation protocols, staffing levels and turnover, payroll stability, dining-service standards, responsiveness policies, and any documented resolution of serious conduct allegations.

In sum, the community displays clear strengths in compassionate frontline care, resident-centered leadership, spacious apartments, and social programming, while operational weaknesses—particularly payroll instability, inconsistent dining and sanitation issues, and concerns about staff conduct and communication—warrant careful inquiry during any touring or decision-making process.
