    Excellent rehab, attentive staff, clean

I've had my family member here almost a year and I'm very pleased. The rehab/therapy team is excellent and produced real gains for Tejay, and nursing, CNAs, dietary, drivers and housekeeping are consistently friendly, professional and attentive. The building is spotless and welcoming, activities and meals are good, administration listens and communicates - I'd recommend this caring community.

    Summary of reviews

This collection of reviews presents a facility with clear strengths in rehabilitative care, cleanliness, and resident engagement, alongside recurring operational challenges. The therapy and rehabilitation program is a consistent highlight: reviewers describe talented therapists, successful therapy outcomes, a newly renovated rehab wing with modern equipment, and staff who actively encourage progress. Many families and residents praise the CNAs and caregiving teams for respectful, compassionate interactions that preserve dignity and provide emotional support. The facility’s physical environment is frequently described as clean, bright, and recently updated, with roomy, hotel-style rooms and pleasant common spaces that support family visits and group activities.

Staff culture is a mixed picture. Numerous accounts emphasize friendly, attentive staff across nursing, dietary, laundry, and housekeeping departments and single out social work for strong advocacy and communication. Activity programming is another strong area: reviews note a wide variety of activities, consistent invitations to participate, and an engaged activity director. At the same time, reviewers identify patterns of inconsistent nursing responsiveness—especially on evenings, nights, and weekends—and occasional reports of unhelpful or brusque conduct from some employees. These variability patterns appear to affect families’ confidence in day-to-day care continuity.

Clinical operations show contrasts as well. While therapy and many aspects of nursing care are praised, several reviews raise concerns about medication management, including delays in medication administration, documentation gaps, and questions about prescribing practices and medication volumes. Communication and care coordination gaps were also described, including missed or poorly coordinated transportation for appointments and inconsistent follow-through when families raise clinical questions. These process gaps have contributed to stress for some families and indicate areas for strengthened protocols and oversight.

Dining, personal care, and room logistics present additional operational variability. Many reviewers appreciate the food, but meal temperature and consistency are uneven according to comments. Personal-care practices—bath schedules, linen changes, and responsiveness to call lights—are also described as inconsistent in certain shifts. Privacy and room-allocation constraints (small or shared rooms) were noted and can influence family satisfaction. There are also specific, serious single-incident concerns in the dataset—including an allegation of employee theft and several accounts of medication or safety lapses—that warrant targeted administrative review and, if substantiated, corrective action.

Management and leadership messaging reflect both improvement efforts and uneven continuity. Several reviewers praise a visible new administrator and responsive leadership that listens and acts on concerns; other comments point to variability in follow-through and continuing operational gaps. Overall, the pattern in these reviews is polarized: many families experience high-quality rehabilitation, clean facilities, and compassionate staff, while others encounter operational weaknesses in staffing consistency, medication and documentation practices, communication, and logistics. Prospective residents and families should weigh the facility’s strong rehabilitation and activity offerings and its clean, renovated environment against the noted variability in nursing responsiveness, medication administration controls, and weekend/night staffing when making placement or visitation decisions.

About Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center sits at 1345 N Madison Ave in Anderson, Indiana, and has space for up to 200 residents, but lately averages about 112 people each day. The center works as a Skilled Nursing Facility and is part of Castle Healthcare, running as a for-profit corporation. Beaumont offers care every day of the week and keeps some amenities to help folks feel more at home, with services and therapy going around the clock.

Beaumont has a staff trained in different types of care, like orthopedic rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, memory care, stroke recovery, respite care, and there's also a discharge concierge to help folks when they're ready to go home. There are nurse practitioners and nursing staff on hand, though the nurse turnover rate is higher than average for the state, sitting at 51.2 percent, and nurse hours per resident are a tiny bit below the state average too, at 3.60 hours. Licensed pharmaceutical services cover medication needs for everyone staying there, and the place has some staff members who speak languages besides English, aiming to help more people feel at ease.

During inspections, Beaumont ran up 35 total deficiencies, with two tied directly to infection control, but they keep an ongoing program for quality assessment, checking how care is provided. The staff aims to support each person in a way that fits their needs, following a person-centered care approach, and they work on keeping things clean and staff courteous. Beaumont doesn't have openings for new patients right now, but its virtual tour helps families and future residents get a close look at the center without needing to visit in person. The facility relies on modern technology in its care routines, and the amenities try to make things feel warm and supportive. Beaumont's main focus is on helping people recover and, if possible, return home after full-service rehabilitation.
