    Spacious apartment, safe friendly community

I placed my mom here and we're very happy. The beautiful, well-kept campus feels safe, staff are wonderful, and it's not a nursing home. Her spacious one-bedroom (vaulted ceiling, bay window, kitchenette) includes meals, lots of activities, doctor transportation and an emergency lanyard; cottages, salon, ice cream shop, shuttle, library and lawn care round it out. At about $1,100/month she's made new friends and I feel comfortable with her care.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews describe a community with attractive grounds, a range of on-site amenities, and housing options that include spacious apartments and cottages. Many families and residents praised direct-care and kitchen staff for being helpful and compassionate, and highlighted social opportunities, frequent meals, transportation services, and convenience features such as a hair salon and a small on-site shop. At least one reviewer cited an affordable monthly price point, though pricing should be confirmed directly with the facility.

Care quality and clinical concerns: Direct-care interactions are often described positively; however, reviewers also raised concerns about clinical oversight and nursing communication. These concerns include perceptions of inconsistencies in nursing staffing and responsiveness, and situations where family members felt clinical complaints or safety issues were not escalated effectively. Several accounts referenced sanitation and pest-control concerns as well as staining and mold issues in particular areas; these describe environmental and housekeeping shortcomings that families should verify during a visit.

Staff and management: Staff-level experiences are mixed. Many reviewers singled out individual caregivers and kitchen staff as strengths, with multiple comments about compassionate CNAs and friendly kitchen teams. At the same time, reviewers described turnover among direct-care staff and a sense of declining staffing stability. Management and supervisory responsiveness were commonly criticized: families reported difficulty getting timely callbacks, promises that were not followed through, and limited resolution of concerns. Some reviewers characterized management tone as intimidating or unresponsive; these reflect operational issues in complaint handling and resident advocacy rather than individual isolated interactions.

Dining and activities: The facility offers regular meal service and an active calendar (bingo, outings, monthly activities) that supports social engagement. Food quality evaluations varied: some reviewers called the food plentiful and satisfactory, while others described it as under-seasoned or inconsistently prepared. The community provides transportation to appointments, a shuttle, and communal spaces such as a library and recreation room, which were noted favorably.

Facilities and amenities: Physical plant strengths include well-kept grounds, trimmed landscaping, regular lawn care, and clean communal interiors according to several reviewers. Housing options include units with kitchenettes and standalone cottages with full kitchens and garages. Amenities such as a hair salon and a small on-site shop contribute to convenience and social life.

Notable patterns and recommendations for families: The overall picture is mixed—strong points around community, amenities, and caring frontline staff coexist with recurring operational issues in management responsiveness, clinical oversight, sanitation controls, and consistent meal quality. Prospective residents and families should tour the community, inspect living units and housekeeping practices, ask about recent state inspections and pest-control records, inquire about staffing levels and turnover, and clarify complaint escalation and privacy policies. Confirming current pricing and getting written details on services and guarantees will help set expectations based on the most up-to-date information.

    About Crown Pointe of Anderson

Crown Pointe of Anderson sits on a quiet campus with woods along the edge, and folks will notice four ponds with fountains, a walking path near the assisted living building, a gazebo, and plenty of spots to sit and relax both inside and outdoors, since there's a large patio, sunrooms, and a community room with exercise equipment. Residents can keep pets like dogs and cats, and the place allows for independent living, assisted living, and memory care, with staff who help with meals, medication, bathing, and dressing, but leave folks to do what they can themselves. Every apartment comes with a private bathroom that has a shower, and there's a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, plus choices between studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, as well as patio homes, villas, and condos if one wants a bit more space. Weekly housekeeping and laundry keep things tidy, and staff are on hand all day and all night, with an emergency response system, security, and emergency pendants provided.

Chef-prepared meals come three times a day, made to be balanced and tasty, and residents can eat together in common dining areas. There's cable TV and wifi, though sometimes the Senior TV service acts up, but folks can enjoy the on-site beauty salon, library, chapel, activity rooms, and ice cream parlor whenever they like, and there are always things going on, whether that's social events, special activities, or spiritual gatherings. Crown Pointe's programs try to keep seniors engaged in mind and body, with events and activities that help folks make friends and stay active, and transportation is available for appointments or errands. Overall, the staff provide help for those who need it, including memory care for people with Alzheimer's or dementia, and home care with trained aides for those who stay in their homes. On-site nursing and physician services are available, and medication reminders help residents who sometimes forget. People living here will see that companionship and security matter as much as comfort, and the community has kept up these standards since it opened in 1999, offering a place for both active, healthy seniors who want company and those who need more hands-on support.
