    Newly remodeled, spotless, compassionate care

I toured the newly remodeled facility and, after placing my loved one here, I'm very impressed - spotless, home-like private rooms, an incredible new therapy gym, and clear infection-control practices. The staff are skilled, compassionate, and welcoming; families evaluating care will feel confident and I would gladly refer loved ones here.

    Summary of reviews

This set of reviews presents a facility with a mix of clear strengths and substantive operational concerns. Positive feedback centers on a recent physical transformation and an active rehabilitation program: several families describe newly refurbished private rooms, an expanded therapy gym, and visible renovation efforts that create a more modern, welcoming environment. Therapy staff are frequently singled out for producing favorable rehabilitation outcomes and for working closely with families on care planning. Multiple reviewers also describe caregivers who are compassionate and personable, creating a family-like atmosphere in parts of the facility.

Contrasting these positives, a recurring theme is inconsistency in day-to-day care operations. Staffing shortages and high workload are repeatedly linked to slow response times to call lights, delays in bathing and hygiene assistance, and unmet basic needs. These staffing gaps appear to be a driver for many other problems cited, including scheduling errors, weekend-service gaps, and slow provision of equipment such as wheelchairs. Families should view staffing stability and on-shift coverage as a central question when evaluating current performance.

Several reviews raise serious safety and clinical concerns that warrant verification during any prospective visit. Reviewers describe problems with medication handling and documentation; this is best summarized as potential gaps in medication-management controls rather than isolated events. There are also accounts of delayed emergency escalation and problematic incident communication with families. A limited number of reviewers referenced allegations of medication diversion and documentation falsification and noted state-level inquiries; those are significant claims that require independent follow-up with facility leadership and regulators to confirm outcomes.

Facility condition reports are mixed. Renovated wings and the updated therapy areas draw praise for cleanliness and ambience, but other reviews identify sanitation and structural maintenance issues in older parts of the building and describe odor concerns and areas that need further cleaning or repair. Families should inspect both renovated and legacy areas during tours. Dining and meal quality are described as inconsistent: some residents have satisfactory meals while others experienced unacceptable variability in food service and schedule continuity.

Management and communication are another area of divergence. Positive accounts highlight helpful, engaged staff and individual team members who go above and beyond; negative accounts emphasize limited on-floor leadership, delayed family communication, billing/insurance emphasis, and a corporate ownership model that some families perceive as remote. Cost was repeatedly raised as a concern, with several reviewers indicating the monthly price felt high compared with the level of service they observed.

In summary, Envive Healthcare of Anderson appears to be in transition: there are tangible improvements in physical plant and therapy services and clear examples of capable, caring staff, but persistent operational weaknesses—most notably inconsistent staffing, sanitation variability, gaps in medication/documentation controls, and uneven communication—create risk for families seeking predictable, high-quality care. Prospective residents and family members should tour both renovated and older units, request current staffing ratios and medication-safety policies, ask about incident reporting and regulatory status, and seek references from recent families before making a placement decision.

    About Envive Healthcare of Anderson

Envive Healthcare of Anderson sits at 1821 Lindberg Rd in Anderson, IN, and has 97 certified beds for residents across all types of senior care, so you'll find Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Home Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Adult Day Services, and even Active Adult Living under one roof, and they also offer specialized care like long-term skilled nursing, post-surgical rehab, hospice, wound care, IV therapy, and even colostomy, bariatric, and tracheotomy care, which is important for people with special medical needs who want to stay somewhere local. The building stays open around the clock, and there's always nursing staff on-site, with 3.56 nursing hours each day per resident, which sits just under the state average, and the team keeps nurse turnover rates a little lower than what's usual in Indiana, standing at 45.7%. They've got all the core therapies-physical, occupational, and speech-from teams that address short-term and long-term rehab, and there's transportation for medical appointments if you need it, along with therapy, pharmaceutical support, and therapeutic diets guided by a registered dietitian. Envive Healthcare of Anderson works with Medicaid and Medicare, so folks on public insurance can access most services. Prices for care, especially in skilled nursing or long-term care, change depending on the kind of room and the level of care, and they haven't posted fixed prices, so you'd need to ask. The facility holds an overall rating that's a bit below average, and recent inspections also land slightly below the state's marks, mostly due to steady deficiencies related to resident rights, quality of life, infection prevention, and pharmacy services-though care quality measures stand much above average, suggesting that when it comes to hands-on care, things are done well, even if there are things needing improvement elsewhere. The building usually has about 54 residents daily, which leaves room for more. Management's looked after by Envive Nursing Holdings, LLC since August 2021, and the place emphasizes teamwork, clear communication between staff and residents, and a steady effort to keep everyone feeling comfortable, social, and supported, so it tries to feel more like a community even while it runs as a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. Everything they offer is listed clearly on their website at envivehealthcare.com, where you'll find more about services and programs, but visiting in person often helps get a better feel because, though there's a genuine focus on personalizing care and finding the right mix for each resident, no place is perfect and you see the strengths and the weak spots better by spending some time there yourself.
