    Warm family-style care and activities

I'm very pleased with this small, family-like, home-style facility (about 14-15 residents) - the staff are warm, hardworking, and give one-on-one attention so my loved one is well cared for. Home-cooked meals made fresh and served family-style, clean comfy rooms with outdoor patios, lots of activities (bingo, gardening, music), and a welcoming atmosphere give us peace of mind; I'd recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Hometown Manor appears to operate as a small, residential-style assisted living community with roughly 14–15 residents; that scale is a defining feature cited across reviews. The facility is frequently described as having a family-like, homey atmosphere and a layout without long corridors, which many families connect with greater personal attention and companionship. Staffing is consistently characterized as warm, hardworking, and attentive, with direct examples of staff assisting residents with dressing, feeding, room upkeep, and keeping favorite items on hand. Those elements contribute to family members reporting a strong sense of safety and peace of mind.

Dining is presented as a strength in several accounts: meals are described as home-cooked, family-style, and served in a pleasant dining room, with some resident involvement in meal planning. However, there is some inconsistency in assessments of food quality; while many praise the meals, at least one comment described food as merely adequate, suggesting variability that prospective families may want to explore during a tour.

Activity programming includes gardening, games, music, and social events such as bingo. The small size of the community seems to enable personalized activities and companionship. Reviewers also note that programming was limited during COVID-19, indicating that activity availability can be affected by public-health restrictions; families should ask about current activity schedules and contingency planning for infection-control events.

Facility condition is a mixed picture. Several reviewers described clean, well-kept common areas and private rooms, while others referenced a more dated or "dumpy" appearance, small room footprints, and occasional odor or sanitation concerns in particular areas. Units do not include kitchen facilities, and dining is served from a shared cafeteria/kitchen, which is consistent with the community model but may be a limitation for residents seeking more independent living amenities.

Management and operational notes: the community has undergone a branding change (no longer a Beehive facility), which may be relevant to families tracking ownership or policy shifts. Pricing is consistently described as cost-effective relative to other options, and many families said they would recommend the community based on the caring staff and individualized attention. Prospective residents and families should prioritize an in-person visit to assess room size, current cleanliness and odor management, meal sampling, and the present activity schedule to determine fit, especially given the facility's small scale and occasional variability in physical condition and programming.

About Hometown Manor Assisted Living Community

Hometown Manor Assisted Living Community in Georgetown, Kentucky, gives seniors a calm place to live where help's there when needed but everybody can make their own choices about the care and support they want, so folks can keep their independence but know someone's always around. Residents pick their level of care, from independent living to memory care and dementia services, and there are always caregivers for those who need extra help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders, so those who might need more support can still feel at home. The staff stays around the clock and takes care of chores like cleaning, laundry, and even deep cleaning, and the meals come from a home-style open kitchen with group dining that feels a lot like gathering with family. The small setting has only 15 rooms, including some new, larger rooms, so it feels less like an institution and more like a big house, and there are personal touches like a covered deck and raised garden beds out back for when the weather's good.

The place is licensed as a senior care center and follows Kentucky state rules about safety and staffing, and there are nurses, housekeeper cooks, home care aides, and special resources for things like hearing aids and senior internet and phone plans, and safety comes first with features like sprinklers, walk-in tubs, wheelchair help, safety rails, handicap access, and a medical alert system. They offer transportation, activities like arts and crafts and wellness programs, and there's a game room, fitness center, and salon/barbershop right on site. Residents have choices in living arrangements, with independent, assisted, respite, and memory care all under one roof, and the atmosphere is friendly and home-like, with dedicated caregivers who get to know each resident personally and work hard to make sure people feel safe and cared for. Hometown Manor offers long-term care insurance options, medication management, wound care, podiatry, and occupational therapy too, and the focus always stays on treating people like family, giving honest, reliable care, and making sure everyone stays as active and social as they want, whether that means chatting on the covered porch or joining a group activity inside.
