    Caring, courteous staff; excellent rehab

I'm very impressed with the caring, courteous staff - nurses, CNAs, activity and therapy teams went above and beyond and treated residents like family. The building is clean, secure and home-like, with excellent rehab services and engaging activities; admissions and front desk were professional and welcoming. Overall I had a very positive experience and would confidently recommend this community for loved ones.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for this facility present a pronounced split between positive experiences—particularly around rehabilitation and social programming—and substantive operational concerns. On the positive side, many families and former residents praise the therapy teams (PT/OT) for effective rehab outcomes, attentive CNAs and aides who provide day‑to‑day support, and a robust activities calendar that keeps residents engaged. Front‑desk staff, secure check‑in procedures, attractive communal spaces and outdoor seating are also commonly noted strengths that contribute to a welcoming, community‑oriented atmosphere.

Conversely, a consistent pattern of operational weaknesses appears across reviews. Chronic understaffing, especially on weekends and nights, is linked to slow response times to assistance requests and call bells, inconsistent bathing/incontinence support and delays in attending to basic needs. Reviewers also describe high staff turnover and uneven clinical training, which residents and families associate with lapses in medication and equipment management and variable clinical competency among nursing personnel. Several comments raise concerns about fall prevention and transfer safety practices.

Facility upkeep and environmental concerns are mixed: while some visitors describe clean, well‑maintained rooms and common areas, others report sanitation and pest‑control concerns, odor issues, and irregular housekeeping or maintenance attention. Dining experiences are similarly inconsistent—therapy and rehab patients often report good support and outcomes, but meal temperature, portioning and dietary accommodation are noted as uneven. Administrative processes show variability as well: reviewers cite billing and scheduling errors, delayed or missed communication with families and external providers, phone access problems, and confusion following leadership or ownership changes.

Management and communication are recurring themes. Positive accounts reference helpful, responsive administrators and personalized staff gestures, while negative accounts emphasize difficulty reaching staff or leadership, delays in family notification after clinical events, and frustration with administrative follow‑through. A small number of reviews allege serious incidents that prompted police or EMT involvement; those items contribute to calls for stronger oversight, clearer incident documentation, and timely family notification.

For prospective residents and families: this facility demonstrates clear strengths in rehabilitation, activities and certain elements of front‑line caregiving, but it also exhibits systemic operational gaps that could affect safety and day‑to‑day comfort. Visitors should schedule an in‑person tour during different shifts, ask about current staffing ratios and weekend coverage, review protocols for falls and incident notification, inquire about pest‑control and housekeeping schedules, confirm dietary accommodations, and request examples of how management has addressed past complaints. Those steps will help assess whether the facility’s current strengths align with a prospective resident’s clinical and psychosocial needs.
