    Compassionate clean safe excellent care

I placed my mom here and I'm very pleased - the nursing and caregiving staff are compassionate and responsive, therapy is excellent and helped her progress, and leadership communicates promptly. The building is very clean and well maintained, activities are engaging, and I feel she's safe and well cared for. Overall a very good choice that I would recommend.

    Summary of reviews

The collection of reviews presents a facility with pronounced variability in day-to-day performance. Many families and patients describe strong clinical rehabilitation outcomes, highlighting skilled physical and occupational therapy teams, successful short-term rehab discharges, and effective pulmonary/respiratory services. Numerous comments praise individual caregivers, nurses, and activity staff for being compassionate, attentive and relationship-oriented; several reviewers specifically cited positive admissions and social-work interactions and clear discharge planning. The recreational program is repeatedly noted as robust, offering crafts, games, outdoor time, and multi-sensory activities that support resident engagement and socialization.

Counterbalancing those positives, a substantial set of reviews describe operational inconsistencies that directly affect resident experience and safety. The most frequent themes are fluctuating staffing levels and high turnover, which reviewers linked to slow responses to call signals, delayed medication administration, inconsistent toileting and bathing schedules, and reduced oversight during nights and weekends. Laundry management and loss of personal items are recurring concerns, as are sanitation and localized odor issues in some units. Maintenance needs and dated areas of the building were also mentioned as affecting the overall environment.

Dining and nutrition receive mixed feedback: some families appreciate personalized meal accommodations and an engaged chef, while others report inconsistent meal temperatures, limited portioning, and unappealing preparations. Communication and management responsiveness show a similar split. Several reviewers praise specific administrators, the admissions process, and clear updates from social workers; others describe slow or defensive responses to complaints and inconsistent follow-through. A small but important subset of reviews raises serious allegations, including theft and other conduct concerns; those items stand apart from routine operational critiques and suggest the need for careful inquiry during any evaluation.

For prospective residents and families this pattern indicates both strengths to seek and risks to monitor. Strengths include a capable therapy program, engaging activities, and many committed frontline staff members who contribute positively to resident morale and rehabilitation. Risks center on variability: ask about current staffing ratios (including night and weekend coverage), medication-administration protocols, infection-control and incontinence-care procedures, laundry tracking and lost-item policies, and recent quality or regulatory actions. When touring, check cleanliness in the specific unit, observe call-bell response times, speak directly with therapy and nursing leadership about individualized care plans, and request documentation of how the facility addresses turnover and serious incident allegations. These steps can help families weigh the facility’s demonstrated rehabilitative capabilities against the operational inconsistencies noted in reviews.
