    About Cherrywood

Cherrywood sits at 3600 Cherrywood Lane in Ann Arbor, Michigan and serves as an adult small group home with space for up to six residents, offering peace of mind to families who need short-term or long-term support for their loved ones, whether that's respite care for caregivers taking a break, or ongoing assistance with daily needs. The house was built in 1963, has 2.5 bathrooms, lots of space inside with 2,926 square feet, and stands on a big 3.27-acre lot, where neighbors and friends gather for community-sponsored daily activities and special programs, since it's part of the Adult Learning Systems-Lower Michigan, Inc. (ALS-LM) and holds a three-year accreditation for its community housing program known as ECS.

The staff provides help with bathing, dressing, transfers, and medication management, always seeing to it that residents are supervised and supported day and night, and they'll coordinate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare providers while arranging transportation for every medical appointment, so no one worries about how to get to the doctor. Meals come prepared and served according to special dietary needs, including diabetes diets, and residents enjoy furnished rooms together with cable, wifi, and a fireplace for comfort, plus services like housekeeping, linens, and lawn care to keep things clean and tidy.

Cherrywood helps people with developmental disabilities, mental illnesses, and physical handicaps, so the care is specialized to fit what each person needs, and the house itself's a single-family home with a partially finished basement where people can gather, relax, or get help from their caregiver, nurse, social worker, therapist, or aide, depending on what's needed that day. The home doesn't accept Medicare unless the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services certifies the resident, but families can count on personal care and a wide list of services ranging from companion visits to dental help, hairdressing, even pet care, and more, all under the licenses and rules that keep everything running smooth for just six people at a time.
