    About Northfield Place

Northfield Place was a small adult group home managed by Synod Residential Services, where up to six people who are developmentally disabled or mentally ill could live together in a peaceful setting, and even though the place closed on November 21, 2023, during its time open-from February 12, 2022, to February 11, 2024-it gave its residents a spot to relax, join community events, and have the services and help they needed nearby, with on-call support, staff helping with daily things like bathing, dressing, and getting around, not to mention the medication management, non-ambulatory care, and 24-hour supervision available; residents could choose between private suites and shared rooms, all fully furnished and set up with cable TV, internet, and telephones, along with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and air-conditioning for comfort, and folks didn't have to worry about chores, since housekeeping, laundry, and even dry cleaning got taken care of, so living there meant you could spend time outside on walking paths or in the garden, join in movie nights or social gatherings in the community room, ride along with provided transportation, or enjoy scheduled meals and snacks in the dining room that could accommodate special diets like for allergies or diabetes, and everything, from emergency alert systems and coordination with healthcare providers to economical pricing and accreditation, got arranged to make life simpler, safer, and more convenient for the people who called Northfield Place home until its closure.
