    Compassionate attentive home-like care affordable

I placed my loved one here and was immediately welcomed by incredibly attentive, compassionate staff - special thanks to Rhonda and Becky. The small, country, home-like setting felt safe and comfortable, care was excellent and more affordable than her prior facility; I would use them again and recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviewers consistently emphasize the quality of direct care and the facility’s homelike, country setting. Descriptions focus on staff who are compassionate and attentive, a welcoming admission process, and a comfortable small-village atmosphere. Several accounts highlight the presence of staff during residents’ final days, which reviewers framed as meaningful end-of-life support. Cost is also a noted factor: reviewers describe the facility as a lower-cost alternative compared with some corporate providers.

Care quality and staff: The dominant theme across the feedback is strong interpersonal caregiving. Staff are characterized as professional, responsive, and personally engaged with residents and families. Specific staff members received personal thanks, suggesting strong individual relationships between caregivers and families. That pattern indicates a culture of hands-on attention and family-focused communication; however, it also implies operational sensitivity if those key individuals were to leave.

Dining and activities: Review content contains little specific information about dining quality, menu variety, or the breadth of organized activities. Because programming and meal services were not detailed, prospective families should request menus, activity calendars, and examples of daily programming during a tour to assess fit with personal preferences and social needs.

Facilities and setting: The facility’s small scale and country/small-town location are presented as strengths for families seeking a quieter, more homelike alternative to larger corporate campuses. The setting appears to contribute to a comfortable environment and a close-knit community feel. Conversely, the rural location may reduce convenient access to some external services, specialized clinicians, or public transportation.

Management and operational patterns: Reviews point to a professional, family-oriented approach from staff and management. Named staff appreciation suggests effective frontline leadership and personalized care coordination. At the same time, the extent of praise for individual employees indicates potential operational reliance on key personnel; continuity planning and staffing depth are reasonable topics to verify with management.

Notable patterns and guidance: In aggregate, reviewers portray the facility as a compassionate, cost-conscious option with a small-facility, homelike culture and strong staff–family relationships. Gaps in publicly available detail about dining, activities, and specialized clinical offerings are apparent from the reviews; prospective residents should ask management for specifics on menus, activity schedules, clinical capabilities, staffing ratios, and contingency plans for staff turnover to confirm the facility meets their clinical and lifestyle needs.

    About Stanford Lodge Sunfield

Stanford Lodge Sunfield offers several kinds of senior care, including independent living, assisted living, memory care for those with Alzheimer's and dementia, and skilled nursing. The staff helps with meals, bathing, dressing, managing medicine, and moving around, and they've got healthcare workers ready around the clock, so you get help whenever you need it. They arrange transport for doctor's appointments, coordinate with medical providers, and provide hospice support if someone needs extra care. The rooms come fully furnished and have kitchenettes, and you'll find studio apartments, too, with some letting pets stay. Housekeeping and linen services keep things clean, and meal prep can follow special diets, like diabetes needs. Residents can go outside to relax or take a walk, spend time in the gardens, or use outdoor patios. Common areas like dining rooms and recreation rooms help people socialize or join activities, and there are arts and crafts spaces, game nights, and even a musical group for anyone interested. They've got a beauty salon onsite, and personal aides can help with day-to-day care needs. The community schedules daily events and has both community-sponsored and resident-run activities, so there's plenty to do if you want to join in. Memory care programs try to support people living with dementia and mild cognitive decline by offering therapies and keeping the environment safe and easy to navigate. There's WiFi, telephone service, and rooms set up for cable TV. The place feels home-like but with safety features such as a 24-hour call system and supervision. They help you keep in touch with your healthcare providers and provide transportation when needed. For people who want a simpler life, the maintenance-free setup means no chores, and you get resort-style touches without extra stress. They offer free community care information, and a senior living advisor's available to help families make decisions. Stanford Lodge Sunfield holds consultation hours early in the morning to the evening on weekdays, and shorter hours on weekends. Residents can get involved online, as well as in person, and there's even a Facebook presence if families or seniors want to stay connected that way. The gardens, dining options, and social activities can help people feel part of a community, while the staff tries to tailor care to individual needs.
