    Attentive staff, comfortable home-like community

I placed my mom at Country Place and I'm very pleased. The staff are attentive, friendly and compassionate - they made the transition smooth, supported her increase in care and helped her regain mobility. The cottages/apartment are clean, comfortable and home-like, with good activities, transportation to appointments and a welcoming community of residents. Our family is grateful and I would recommend Country Place.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impressions of Country Place are mixed but lean positive: reviewers commonly emphasize warm, attentive staff, a compassionate administrative presence, and a clean, home-like physical environment with apartment and cottage options. Families repeatedly cite helpful transition support, routine housekeeping, and dependable transportation to appointments as strengths that ease moves and day-to-day living. Residents frequently describe active socialization within the community and an environment that feels welcoming and comfortable.

Care and staffing generally receive favorable comments for interpersonal warmth and practical assistance. Multiple accounts praise staff who go beyond basic duties to accommodate families and support residents' mobility or recovery goals. At the same time, there are operational concerns tied to clinical incident handling: several accounts describe delayed emergency responses and shortcomings in timely family notification after falls or medical events, including at least one serious fall that resulted in a fracture and transfer to higher-level care. These indicate potential gaps in incident-response protocols and in-family communication that prospective families should clarify with management.

Dining and activities show variability. The community offers menu variety and administrators note efforts to meet individual food preferences, but many residents find meal quality inconsistent — often described as bland — and portion sizes smaller than expected. Activity programming is uneven: while some reviews mention a robust calendar and memory-focused offerings, others describe a limited schedule (for example, a single social hour twice weekly and few planned outings). Off-site excursions and broader activity variety appear limited in practice, particularly for residents seeking frequent external engagement.

Facility amenities and management present a mixed picture. The physical plant and cottages are frequently described as clean, updated, and comfortable, but a number of comments point to housekeeping inconsistencies (dust in some areas) and to policy choices that restrict use of common spaces. Management receives praise for responsiveness and compassionate leadership from several families, yet other accounts express frustration with decisions that limit community-center access or otherwise affect amenities. Staffing turnover is also noted and may affect continuity of care in some units.

In summary, Country Place may be a good fit for residents and families prioritizing compassionate staff interaction, a home-like setting, and practical move-in supports. Prospective residents should ask specific, operational questions before committing: clarify emergency-response procedures and family-notification practices, review the current activity calendar and frequency of off-site outings, taste-menu options and portion sizes if dining is a major consideration, and confirm amenity-access policies (including smoking areas and community-center rules). These checks can help align expectations with the facility's strengths and operational limitations.
