    Compassionate professional care restored independence

I'm very grateful for the compassionate, skilled team here - nurses, aides, PT/OT, nutritionist and support staff went above and beyond. The building and rooms are spotless, recreation is engaging, and admissions/administration communicated promptly and supportively. Daily therapy improved my mom's health and independence; staff attended to every need and made us feel welcome. Overall a caring, professional place that gave our family real peace of mind.

    Summary of reviews

The collected reviews describe a facility with sharply mixed performance across core domains of skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, environment, and management. Many families highlight strong clinical and rehabilitative strengths: dedicated nurses and aides, effective physical and occupational therapy programs, an active recreation department, and an interdisciplinary team that can include nutrition support and pastoral services. Admissions and front‑desk staff receive frequent praise for accessibility and helpfulness, and the building is described by numerous visitors as bright, well maintained, and conveniently located with easy parking.

At the same time, recurring operational weaknesses emerge. Staffing levels are frequently described as inconsistent, with pronounced shortfalls on nights and weekends; this correlates with reports of slow response to call bells, delays in assistance, and inconsistent bathing and incontinence care. Medication administration and timing are another persistent concern, with multiple accounts of missed or late doses and unclear pain‑management communication. Rehabilitation services are often strong during weekday hours but are described as uneven or limited on weekends.

Dining and nutrition present a mixed picture. Some families compliment meal options, kosher services, and active engagement by a nutritionist, while others describe inconsistent meal quality and poor adherence to prescribed diets. Housekeeping and maintenance are praised in some areas and noted as reliable; however, sanitation and housekeeping lapses are also reported in specific units or over particular periods, producing concern about cleanliness and equipment repairs.

Management and communication show variability. Several reviewers report responsive administrators who provide regular updates and address issues; others raise concerns about poor communication, delayed or incomplete discharge instructions, misplaced personal belongings, and unprofessional conduct by certain supervisory personnel. There are also references to regulatory attention and legal action in the facility’s recent history, which some families cite as heightening their concerns.

Notable patterns to consider: experiences are highly polarized — some families describe excellent, attentive care that led to measurable rehabilitation gains and strong communication, while others describe systemic lapses tied to staffing and operational control. The most consistent themes for prospective families are to verify staffing levels at the unit and shift relevant to a prospective resident (especially nights/weekends), confirm medication‑management and diet protocols in writing, ask about weekend therapy coverage and recreation schedules, and inspect unit‑level housekeeping and storage/property procedures. If there are specific clinical vulnerabilities (advanced dementia, high incontinence needs, complex wound care, or oxygen dependency), an in‑person review and direct questions about those capabilities are strongly advised. Finally, be aware of the facility’s history of regulatory scrutiny and request up‑to‑date quality and inspection records during the decision process.
